Not a good film; makes light of a sick happening

Not even a very gory or graphic film like it claims to be; focuses on "Leslie," one of Charles Manson's 'girls.' The protagonists, like the young boy who is on the jury trial, are sort of likable, but they don't fit in this movie. The touches of lighthearted comedy don't seem to mix with this brutal footnote in history. This film can't even remember its own title: The cover and the movie title in the film say "Manson - My Name Is Evil," but by the end credits the movie film has suddenly changed to "Leslie - My Name Is Evil." There are several moments in this 'drama' that will make you roll your eyes, particularly when the young boy juror is being shaken about in his hotel room -- he invokes God and promises to find Leslie guilty if God will 'save' him - then it immediately stops. Give me a break. Watch a good documentary or the 1970's film "Helter Skelter" for a more accurate, meatier story. Just another in one of Lionsgate DVD's long long line of poorly-made home video releases...
