Customers are saying

Customers admire the enjoyable gameplay and engaging story of Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam, frequently praising its fun factor and ease of use, especially for younger players. Many appreciate the humor and well-designed battle system, while some find the difficulty level and mini-games to be less satisfying aspects of the game. The improved quality and streamlined tutorials are also noted as positive changes.

my son wanted this game and he is a huge Mario fan. whenever I buy him a Mario game he always finishes it in one day but this time he is actually stuck and trying to pass it {without cheating for walkthroughs online}. storyline so far is good and the colors too. graphics are just like any other new version of the Mario franchise. good game for all ages.

This is both my first "Mario & Luigi" and "Paper Mario" game, and I'm enjoying it a lot. Most of the Mario Bros. characters are put to great use, although your party is only ever made up of three -- Mario, Luigi, and Paper Mario. Nintendo makes up for this monotony by making the battle system a true joy to play, taking the classic JRPG team-based system and adding flourishes such as time-based button presses for accurate hits (critical hits are still randomly baked-in as "lucky hits"), Bros. Attacks (Mario & Luigi team up for one of many mini-game attacks), and Paper Mario's earth-shattering Trio Attack, which literally flattens the competition. The gameplay is somewhat reminiscent of Super Mario 3D Land if it were a "Metroidvania" game (just a loose comparison, there.) There's plenty of the requisite Nintendo charm present, and the artwork, animations, and dialogue are sure to bring plenty of smiles to your face. There's plenty more to like, but most of it is better left a surprise. I'll just say the Paper Mario crossover is put to good use throughout the entire game. There are only a few things I didn't like, such as the forced "rescue the Paper Toads" mini-games, which seem to combine all of the shortcomings of the controls and gameplay into one frustrating 5-15 minute segment at a time. Also, some of the Bros. Attacks are just too quirky to time to use reliably, which is a real shame, because Bros. Attacks are one of the shining elements of this game. Either way, neither of these downsides are really a big deal. There's plenty to like in this game for any Mario and/or RPG lover.

I have always loved the Mario & Luigi RPG's as well as the Paper Mario series. There probably my most favorite Mario series ever so when i found out good guy Nintendo were bringing the two series together i jumped in joy like Mario jumps for 1Up's! The series has never been better combining both into 1 game is just amazing and the story is just great 2 Bowsers fighting over who the real Bowser is is just hilarious. The comedy the action the gameplay it's all top notch and all here. If you were let down by Sticker Star as alot of fans were (i loved it) then you will be happy with this game. So get to jumping and paper folding it's Mario time!!!

This game is a lot of fun. The graphics are colorful, and game play is easy enough to pick up. I love the mix of paper characters with the regular 3 dimensional characters. There is quite a bit of dialog, which would be my only complaint, but otherwise, it's a great fun game!

When I first saw this game I was very upset. Not that the game looked bad but that we didn't get a new proper Paper Mario game on the Wii U. However, this game is actually quite good. It blends both series' into one game very well. I highly recommend purchasing this one.

Mario & Luigi have had this time tested series and always come out with a great quality title. Paper Jam is no exception. Beautifully animated, fantastic rpg mechanics that keep the player engaged, and a quirky fun story not seen in many mainstream Mario titles.

Another great entry in the Paper Mario series. The story follows another wacky adventure of the Mario Brothers. The core rpg system of the past Paper Mario games is present along with a few added elements such as the addition of amiibo for unlockable badges.

The story is decent; not as complex like other iterations, but the gameplay is where the game stood out more. Fun gameplay with nice visuals and catchy music. A great entry into this series.

I've enjoy every single Mario RPG dating back to the original one launch on the SNES. The one adds a few new mechanics while carrying over alot of the features from the previous titles. If you enjoy the older ones, this one will not disappoint.

I love my new paper jam game. I read a bad review from other people so I was a little concerned before I actually purchased the game. However, that was only a concern I loved this game from the first day. I would recommend this to everyone.

If you are a fan of the series, you will really like this one. I personally liked Dream Team even with all its flaws. This game corrects a lot of those and the game play is just great. It's witty and funny and has something for everyone.

I'm new to the mario and luigi series, but I'm loving this game as much as all the paper mario entries, from the original up to sticker star. I'm a few hours into the game and not getting bored of it.
