Vibrant and colorful. Graphics are good and animation is top notch. World's look beautiful and bright. Gameplay is strategic and more fluid than the first game with the lack of tile movements. Difficulty is there for those that want it. Story is okay, with some funny scenes.

Good follow up game. What I loved about the first game was that you had to have strategy in order to complete a task and having to use problem solving skills in a mario game was awesome. This second game is just as great with the same game mechanics in an all new story.

I managed to 100% this game in about a week, which is quite impressive I will say. The average gamer will spend probably about 12 hours completing this game, but the more experienced once I’m sure can complete this game in about 6. Overall a very enjoyable game and I can’t wait for the dlc to come out.

Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope is a fun filled sequel to Nintendo’s popular Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle game.
Gameplay
Travel alongside Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, and their Rabbid doppelgangers as they attempt to rid the galaxy of Darkmess- yes, mess not ness – and stop the space monster Cursa. To accomplish this, you must use tactical strategies to battle enemies and puzzle-solving skills to unlock new areas, complete tasks, and collect Sparks – that grant you in-battle special moves and abilities.
Quick Review
Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope is an addictive turn-based strategy game. If you enjoyed Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle you will love the updates that they made to this sequel – such as your character’s ability to move more freely in the battle arenas and while exploring the kingdoms. Those new to this series are in for a treat as this series combines challenging battle arenas and puzzles with light-hearted humor!
Pros
- Beautifully designed worlds and imaginative story line
- Immersive soundtrack
Cons
- Gameplay in docked mode is laggy
- Swapping between characters, sparks, and skills is a bit of a chore

This is a Xmas present for my grandsons and are really excited. They love the other Mario video games they have. They are fun and hopefully with no hiden agenda's. I guess we'll fund out in a couple months, but if I find out otherwise I will return.

Mario + Rabbids is such a fun strategy based turn by turn game. Think of Risk but with fun and quirky Rabbids and of course Mario and team. The game has a lot of replay appeal and even after your first run through you can keep on playing with different players, courses, etc.

We haven’t played the first game, but saw that this was on sale and didn’t realize there was a new title out. So we gave it a chance and are glad we did. This game is fun and the tactics aspect is great. We definitely enjoy playing this.

Mario + Rabbids back again. Most everything about this game is an upgrade to the original game. There is one thing that I miss... actually upgrading weapons. This mechanic has been replaced with changing skins for a weapon, but I haven't seen that the skins change any characteristics of a weapon. I'm 30+ hours into the game, the in-game progress shows me at 75% complete. I've seen 5 distinct worlds with some variation of enemies. There is at least 1 more area I haven't made it to yet. The game dynamics have greatly enhanced by being able to leverage slide attacks in conjunction with team jumps and jump pads to traverse encounters. There are skill trees that change the characters health, dask, drop attack / heals etc... and then sparks with thier abilities that can be assigned to any character.
Its not all perfect, the game does slow down here and their and there are load screens. Most of the load times are short, but when coming from PS5 and XBox Series S or X you will notice

Its an improvement over the first game, but mostly more of the same, which is generally a good thing. You're getting some fairly decent albeit somewhat easy tactical gameplay with a decent amount of enemy variety (if you're including status-inducing varieties) and character customization (although its hard to not prioritize certain skill trees which might limit the actual customization somewhat.)
The exploration and puzzle elements are pretty rudimentary, although the environments are enjoyable to traverse.
Its wrapped up in a level of polish and the whimsy you would expect from a Mario + Rabbids crossover. The writing and characters are genuinely funny and its just a fun game to play despite its flaws or limitations.
Separating the franchise from the game would leave it at a 7/10 at best but as a whole I'd mark it an 8.5.
