Although they are not noise cancelling, you can hardly hear any ambient noise through them.
The accuracy of the sounds is great. I love mine!

I purchased these headphones about a year ago. They look nice and sound good enough for most things. I find them a bit uncomfortable to wear for longer periods of time. I would much prefer headphones that fully fit over my ears.

I've been in the market for the last few weeks to replace my Sennheiser HD-205 II headphones. I tried these and a pair of Sennheiser Momentums, which sounded amazing, but one problem that I've had with Sennheiser phones is that they leak sound which can interfere with my mixing. I decided to go with the Marshall Monitors because their sound quality was sufficient for the price (for being $150 cheaper than the Momentums, they can certainly hold their ground), the collapsible design, and the incredibly attractive design. The bass is nice and full, and is present at even the lowest frequencies. The highs and mids are crisp and are rarely drowned out by the bass. The ear cups are well-designed and fit perfectly around my ears--the only problem I have is that when I have the headphones resting around my neck, it's like wearing a choker necklace. I also really like that the earcups are rotatable for when I need to mix a new song into a mix really quick. The headphone cord is also great, as it can be plugged in to either the left or right side, and the opposite side will act as an output so you can have a friend listen along as well. These headphones scream quality, and this is apparent from the second you open the packaging and pick these babies up. They just feel incredibly solid, which can't be said for a lot of other headphones in this price range which are made primarily of plastic. They're great for rock, hip-hop, electronic, jazz--you name it. If you're looking for some awesome headphones that can deliver performance-wise and in the looks department, pick these up! You will not be disappointed!

Really liked the look and feel, but the vocals wouldn't come through. Was going to return to exchange but they didn't have any others in stock. Very disappointed overall. They didn't offer to send another pair out so I left. Found on amazon for over $100 less.

Amazing Sound, a First Class Product

I was buying noise canceling headphones as a Christmas present for my nephew and niece and I was trying different ones. I came across these on demo and I couldn't stop listening. The sound quality is impeccable for headphones, the bass goes down to 10 Hz. I don't understand how that's possible.
Also, the whole product is first class... from the packaging to the case to the removable cord to the materials the headphones are made of as well as the removable high frequency filter. The cushions are magnetically attached and snap in to the headphone body. (I do worry that this scheme may not be reliably attached in the long term.)
Forget all the trendy marketing for Beats or Skullcandy. Forget noise-cancelling headphones if you want great sound. I can't believe I spent $200 (-30% for buying three pairs of headphones) on these but I don't have buyer's remorse.

My son has been looking for headphones and has been pushing for Beats. Not that there is anything wrong with Beats (except maybe the price point and fact they are not the best sounding headphones given their hype and pricing), but we spent a while in a Best Buy store checking out all of the available brands. Put on and listened to pretty much all of them. I have Sennheisers from a while ago and was looking for top quality, not just a logo. Had no idea Marshall made headphones, but there was a display and a Rep there. I listened to the Monitors and was blown away with how good they really sounded. Did a LOT of additional listening between brands and these pretty much always came out near the top.
Con's--Will be giving for the Holidays so no Cons yet (certainly were none during the trial#.
Pro's-Comfortable, great sound, has removable filter to adjust to your preferences for high ranges which can also help at lower volumes, nice highs and lows.
ALSO--I decided to take time to consider. and I researched them more. They are listed everywhere @ 199.00 but were on sale @ Best Buy in store #not listed on website) for 129.00. For that price, maybe the best headphones on the market. I went back and bought them. Have no idea how long that price may last but they are also a good deal @199.

Stylish, clear cans for the rocker in everyone

I decided to treat my ears to a brand new, high quality pair of headphones and I couldn't pass up the full package provided by the Marshall Montiors. Styled like the legendary audio company's classic speakers, these cans deliver on durability with its metal construction, comfort with its over-ear cups with ample padding for extended listening and rich detailed sound that can even be customized to two different sound profiles by adding or removing the included felt treble inhibitors. The cord even detaches for easy transport or positioning depending on the location of your headphone jack and the other open jack on the headphones themselves allow you to share your music to another pair of cans. The only downside is that for a pair of headphones this high-quality, it's a disappointment that it only comes with a cloth bag to store them in instead of an actual case. That minor gripe not withstanding, I highly recommend these headphones for anyone looking for a quality audio experience across many different music genres.

Dynamic Sound

I purchased a pair of Beats Studio Headphones yesterday and after I listened to them for a while, I noticed they were muddying the background vocals for certain songs. They were great for pop music as they had incredible bass, but I found them to be just o.k. for rock music and orchestrated soundtracks. I took the Beats back tonight and exchanged them for the Marshall's after trying them out.
After listening to these headphones for a couple of hours, I must say the sound quality from these Marshall Monitor headphones is unmatched. The sound is very, very dynamic and true with great bass and clear treble. You can expect to hear the entire range of music for every song and pick-up on things you haven't noticed before. It really is like listening to a great surround system right in your headphones.
The one drawback to these headphones is they get uncomfortable after a while. I felt the same way about the Beats too, so I expect most higher end headphones to fit tight for maximum sound quality. Also, I have a big head.

I have tried all the Beats by Dre (Literally), Sony, Skullcandy, ect. The Marshall Monitor headphones are awesome. Build quality and materials used are top notch. Beats are all plastic and brittle, they have improved since Monster was involved in the company. But they still have not reached the quality of these headphones. Do yourself a favor and try these first. Spend 200.00 for quality or spend 200.00 for brittle plastic and fancy bright colors and that trendy name. I was a sucker too for a long time.
I'm using these with a samsung note 3 that's rooted and has the Audio mod Viper4Android installed. But even with out using the mod these are superb sounding headphones. I'm a bass head so I use the mod to get super powerful deep bass.
In my opinion these sound great with all genres of music. The lack of leakage if great, while off of my head and the ear cups together you can BARELY hear the music. My wife can not hear them when they're on my head.
It's crazy when looking for reviews on the web and you can't find many covering these headphones. If these were only marketed/advertised like beats.

Nice to finally see a new headphone in the market that comes with a history of making quality audio products ... rather then all the marketing companies jumping into the premium headphone space. Also nice to see them not rip the customer off and offer up a solid product at a reasonable pricepoint. These things are made of metal and will most definitely stand the test of time.
I purchased these after getting the Marshall Stanmore speaker. I was so blown away with that I was certain this would be a good buy as well. I'm very happy!
I took the filters out of them and prefer the sound like that. A little more punchy and dynamic.
