Andromeda takes advantage of Mass Effect's diverse universe by bringing back old friendly races and introducing us to two new races in a brand new galaxy. The focus this time around is exploration and finding a new home for the various races that have come to Andromeda. Each new planet that you visit feels unique, though the small amount of new races in this new galaxy is a short coming of this game. All in all still a great game and a good addition to the series.

It's beautiful. The graphics are amazing. When you move between planets the view is breathtaking everytime. It's super nice that you can choose what missions to do on your own time. It's a true role playing game from the customization to the open world. The fighting is fun. The only con is sometimes the story drags on a little long and the fighting is so fun I woulda liked to spend more time just doing that. Although I did enjoy the story. Very solid 8.5 / 10.

This is a completely different story from the original trilogy, with a brand new cast of characters. You're in charge of a group sent to the Andromeda Galaxy to as explorers/settlers. If you like the original ME games, you'll like this, as it's more of the same.

Mass Effect: Andromeda is a good game, though it has its share of flaws. Mostly technical glitches and wonky animation.
The games storyline is a little overambitious, with an abundance of side missions to distract you. The menu system could have used a bit more refinement, as I found myself constantly scrolling through pages and pages to find what I needed. That being said, it's very easy to lose yourself in the story, and is well worth a purchase.
There's definitely enough to keep you busy for dozens of hours, and that's not including the multiplayer. Much like Mass Effect 3, the multiplayer is a wave-based mode, with various objectives to complete. As far as horde-style matches go, it's one of the best there is. The game allows you to purchase randomized upgrade packs with real world currency, but you can also earn them in game by completing matches.
With the amount of content in the game, Mass Effect: Andromeda is well worth the price.

This game is a little different than its predecessors, so there is a bit of a learning curve but it is no less fun to play.
With the Xbox One X and a 4K TV, it looks amazing!

Same Mass Effect, different galaxy. It has the same exploration, discovery, combat, and romance that you have seen in the previous series. Yes, the facial animation needs to be improved (or at least covered with a helmet) but that does not diminish the story.

As I have with all the Mass Effect games, I love the game. The only complaint I have is that I am forced to play only on my standard Xbox One. I originally installed it on my special edition 4k Xbox but when I fired up my standard edition so my wife could use the 4k Xbox to play a different game, it transferred not only my saves (which was cool) but the "deluxe edition pack" as well. And apparently that transfer process can only be done once because now I am forced to play on my standard Xbox One in the bedroom and can't play my saves on the 4k Xbox downstairs anymore. I would have to start a completely new save and play without the deluxe edition goodies....so gamers be warned. If you have more than one Xbox, you won't be able to use both to play the deluxe edition. Once its deluxe pack transfers, there's no going back....otherwise a great game like all it's predecessors!

This game is good, if you already played Mass Effect you might encounter some disappointment, it was really buggy at the beginning and still has issues. The game is long, really good, that can be good or bad depending who you ask but it's entertaining.

I wholeheartedly endorse Mass Effect: Andromeda. No, it is not the same galactic-ending narrative that drove the other 3 games in the franchise. Andromeda is a smaller scaled experience- aimed less at the "Space Opera" feel of the other games, and more so to the "Space Exploration" aspect that allows you to explore new Galaxies.
The amount of content you get with this game is absolutely staggering- while clocking in 86 hours of gameplay- I still only have a 90% completion rate. If you're looking for a game that give you content per dollar spent per captia- then Mass Effect is a solid choice.
The Deluxe Edition's digital featurettes aren't really anything special- a new set of armour- NOMAD Skin- and Multiplayer packs. Collectively, none are necessarily worth the $10 Purchase unless you TRULY, TRULY can't stand the design of any of the other Armor Sets.

Gunplay is tight and the story gets better after a bit of a wonky first few hours. There's plenty to see and do. It's better than two of the three games that came before it. If you're interested in actual exploration of a galaxy this gets back to it.

One of the nice things about modern games is the ability to easily patch in fixes. Bioware has been listening and making progress on this title in regards to errors and bugs.
As for the game itself it plays and feels like prior Mass effect games which is very good. If you have never played those and want your foot in the door then this is a good place to start as its a fresh new story.

I loved the Trilogy. Even with its ending I still appreciated for what it was and the journey I had throughout the series. I was glad when Andromeda was announced and released. Of course I pre ordered. I enjoyed the game. Yes, it's not as good as I'd hope it would be and doesn't live up to the trilogy but it's still a good game nonetheless. I didn't like the customization as I couldn't create one that came close to me as I did previously. I went into Andromeda on the intent to follow up with more Mass Effect game play, and with that I got it. It took some adjustments to not use my teammates but in the end it means I went through battles faster. I still would of appreciated to control my teammates.
Overall, if you enjoyed the combat of the first and wanted more less the same, then by all means get it on sale and enjoy it.

After ME3, it seems like a stumble for the franchise, but it's working on getting their space legs together. Improvements to fighting/shooting mechanisms and a different story to explore will keep you coming back 'till the end credits roll.

As a mass effect game that I was really looking forward to, I am a bit disappointed.
The graphics are sub part foe today's games. The voice acting is really bad. Voices of different character and races sound nothing like they should. In earlier games, I really felt like the races and characters were distinctive and interesting. That's lost now. They all feel very generic.
The game play is okay, but I find in combat I'm losing track of where enemies are, and where I'm getting hit from.
I'm a couple of hours into it. The story seems to be pretty expansive. I'm looking forward to playing through it. But was expecting more.

If you are a fan of the Mass Effect series and Bioware in general then you will love this game. The combat is much improved from the previous games. No more slow paced battles. The dialogue wheel and choices you may make no longer require you to be good or evil. Instead you can play the way you want. Graphically the game also looks very good.
My only complaint is that the character creator is kinda bland.
You need to experience the game for yourself and not listen to the negativity from people that haven't even played it. Trust Me.

Even though the days of Shepard are past us, Andromeda still proves to be a grand adventure that feels both familiar and new. So far, I have had a harder time resonating with the main cast. I think that's just because over the course of 3 giant games, you really got to know the crew of the Normandy and cared about them. Hopefully, by Andromeda's end, I'll feel the same. When I preordered this game at Best Buy, I thought I was suppose to receive a steelbook case, but that didn't happen and from what I read online, there was a lot of confusion on the Best Buy forums about this very thing. Then I saw the separate steelbooks on BestBuy.com for $10?! Too bad about the miscommunication, but that's a Best Buy issue and not one with the game itself.
