I've had many in-ear bluetooth headphones over the last several years, and the search for the elusive 'best' headphone seems never-ending. The MW07 Plus may not totally end that search for me, but they have come closer than any other in-ear has. I have never tried any of Master and Dynamic's gear, but they have a name and reputation for high-end audio and design, and the MW07 Plus continues that. The pair I got was in Tortoise Shell, and they look very sharp. Having had in-earphones from Bose, Apple, Beats, Jabra, and Jaybird, I can say that without a doubt the MW07 plus is the best looking pair of earbuds I've ever had. When I opened the packaging and saw the stainless steel holding/charging case, I kid you not, I said, "Wow." The case and the headphones- they both exude quality and luxury. Fitting them to my ears took a bit of time, but fortunately Master and Dynamic includes different shapes and sizes of soft parts to customize the fit. Once I got that dialed in, it was time for pairing. Pairing with my iPhone 11 Pro was easy as pie. As soon as I pulled the buds from the case, they showed up in the bluetooth list on my iPhone. I hit pair and they were ready for listening. I used Qobuz as my main music app, set at the standard and hi-res settings. I didn't really notice a difference between the two settings, because unfortunately Apple doesn't have AptX bluetooth (although the MW07 Plus's are capable). I listened to Fleetwood Mac's Tusk, and although the congos didn't have the hard slap to them that I've heard with my Beats Pros, the midrange was full and detailed, the cymbals were pleasant and shimmering, and the constant kick pedal resonated with a sound thump. I switched to Elton John's Curtains, a song that builds from a simple few instruments into a much more complex piece. The toms in this piece are very forward and have some good deep hit to them. The MW07 Plus's did well with this song, and although the toms did not have the depth I like hearing on other earbuds, the MW07 Plus's resolved even the smallest of details, pulling sliding guitar chords out of the difficult mix, and keeping all instruments in their place. I would venture to say I have never heard a set of buds do this song justice; the MW07 Plus did. I listened to this song several times, just lost in the sound through the MW07 Plus. Next up was Loreena McKennitt's Marco Polo. Here, the MW07 Plus's treated me to an amazing soundstage, giving the 40-some-odd instruments that are used in this song their due. I just leaned back and enjoyed the show. Finally, to make sure these bad boys could jam, I listened to Tool's 46 and 2. Every other in-ear that I have struggles with different aspects of this song. Either they are too bassy, not bassy enough, or they simply screech at spots due to the hot mix with the lead guitar. There is a spot where Danny Carey goes into an aggressive double-kick with tom rolls that a lot of stereo systems I've listened to (much less earbuds) struggle with. I was more than pleasantly surprised by the MW07 Plus and their presentation of this song. I could hear the defined distortion of Justin Chancellor's bass, the growling shining through even during the most active parts of the mix. In case you haven't noticed, I am very much pleased with these buds. They sound good with every type of music I've thrown at them. The bass goes deep and is punchy. The midrange is lush and detailed. The highs are there, but pleasantly rolled off at the very top end to keep from getting fatigued. If I had one issue with them, it is that they sound their best at around 60-70% of volume. When you start getting them higher than that, they lose some of their detail, as if a DSP is rolling the volume off. On occasion, I like to turn the volume up and just rock out, and these don't quite make it there. If you are looking for something to blow your ears off (which we probably don't want to do anyways, bad for your hearing) these are not for you. If you are looking for an audiophile pair of in-ears that sound excellent at normal to above normal volumes and also happen to have noise canceling, don't be afraid to pull the trigger on these. They look amazing, they sound amazing, they have amazing battery life, and they are worth the high price tag. That being said, I highly recommended the MW07 Plus!!

These are a beautiful pair of True Wireless headphones. That said, the case is a scratch magnet and the fit is okay, but you can't get a great seal and the ANC is very weak compared to other models. I returned them.

definitely grab these if you want a great pair of buds. 1000% better then Beats and Airpods. Good surround feeling and the ambient sound and sound canceling modes are great.

I think Master & Dynamic was trying to make these sound flat and unbiased like studio monitors. They did a great job, but most of us want exciting sound from our headphones. It is nearly impossible to tune these even using an EQ. Don't get me wrong...these are works of art and have a high production quality. Way to expensive for what you get. Who needs a heavy, polished, stainless steel case? They are great if you like a flat sound with very little bass and treble, but I can get that from wired headphones at half the price. I tried to like them, but I just couldn't justify the price.

Following review is based on use of the headset with iPhone, and given rating in different key aspects. The “Earphone” as label Master and Dynamic appeal as outstanding gadget upon having on hand. Its built material tells the hardware crafting process with care and quality. Placing on ear:5 It is easy without major or none hassle. Paring: 5 Pairing is straight forward without any hassle at all. Upon it is connected, can hear in each one a sound of being paired and connected. Control: 4 Its design simplify to mechanical buttons that require use of two fingers. Using one finger it push down toward the ear that cause uncommfortability or pain. Now each side has its separate functions: 1.Left side has two buttons. It control Volume, ANC, Ambient Listening Mode 2.Right side named multi-function button consist of one button to Activate paring mode, Play/Pause, Skip Forward, Skip Back, Voice Assistance The rating for Control aggregate to following different usage. Phone Call: 3 1.Can’t switch to call. Being in a call, if second call ring, only way to switch is hanging the first call and attend second call using Multifunction button on the right side. If not need the phone to Accept & Hold. 2. Left side buttons only work for volume function. Can’t activate Noise Cancelling option nor Ambient Listening Mode Off. Voice Assistance: 5 It worked straight forward with Siri. By command play music, make call “name xyz”, it immediately triggered right phone number to call and music. Although the use case was simple, for this specific expectation has worked. Listening Music: 4 Listening music was good such every beat, deep base and singer voice moving left to right and vice versa creating surrounding effect where applies. But compared to other brand of $200 range didn’t feel significant difference. Noise Cancelling/Ambient Listening: 4 It works great while listening music. Being in the place where mid volume music is played and people talking, listening music takes to a world apart. While not listening, can hear the surrounding noise. The noise cancelling effect and ambient listening mode however doesn’t seem to provide significant difference. Having each of them ON/OFF for different situation, couldn’t tell the difference under the context of listening music. Battery: 5. Have used for three hours straight and didn’t feel loose of quality of sound Bluetooth anf connectivity: 4 It use latest 5.0 version. However, having the phone on the desk, then waking few feets away and around the room with columns in between, experience connection dropping situations. Number of devices can be connected: 1 Although understandably its design made for exclusive one device, when the sound experience is not that different to other well made brands, for the price point doesn’t seem to be valid value proposition. Software: 4 This aspect is hard to tell exactly. But it doesn’t have its own application to control equalizer for instance. It require use of native feature from the phone. In case of iPhone it is all the way in Settings> Music>Eq. Although the specific generic brand for equalizer can be downloaded separately, still doesn’t have its own, nor can’t tell how to update firmware if exist. In this aspect, this is very personal preference that vary person to person, hence can’t rate as the most rating or least either. Aside of above experience, following are little things that have caught my eyes that I haven’t seen in other brands: 1) Manual in 18 languages 2) Ear tup option comes in 5 sizes (usually 3 sizes) 3) Fit Wing Options in three sizes 4) Case Battery has three level of charging indicator (usually is only On/Off) By pondering 11 categories with respective rating, hence the rating and recommendation.
