An wonderful program - excellent writing and acting. Interesting to follow the fictional characters as their story overlays real historical events.

What a great series to watch. It holds your attention and the scenery, costumes, and acting are great. I love the period vehicles and trains.

Romance is the main theme of this season and from young to old, rich or servant everyone's life is changed. Great character development and secrets of the past are revealed. The lives of people are developed in a realistic way which makes watching even more pleasurable. Buy the Blu-ray and enjoy "binge" watching the episodes the first time through.

It was almost as if someone had previously viewed each set, as I/we experienced skipping and freezing with a disc in the 5th as well as 6th season sets. In order to eleviate the problem, I cleaned each disc; then they played fine. It's a bit irritating to purchase an item expecting it to be flawless and have to experience problems.

Keeps you interested in the characters. Real disappointed that they kill some of the best ones off but overall a great piece of writing.

The drama continues in the British Upstairs / Downstairs. Every secret eventually is eventually found out, but by whom & how is how this series keeps it's viewers hooked. Who will Lady Mary choose? What mischief will Lady Rose get into? Who will find out about Lady Edith's illegitimate child? The writing is only parallelled by the amazing cast!

We came to Downton Abbey late but binge-watching the seasons on Blu-Ray was a great way to catch up. The special features were especially fun.

I have all the DVD sets for Seasons 1 to 5. Best Buy's price was very competitive. I will be sure to check them out first for future purchases.

A wonderful view of life in another era, with characters both noble and flawed as in every time. Delightfully addictive and endearing.

This season is one of the best. If you love this series, you'll love this! Great way to watch the whole season to get ready for season 6!

The best show on television. no need to make the kids leave the room. no violence, vulgarity or nudity. Just a wonderful story about a family.

The acting, scenery and musical score are great. I loved the whole series and the disk is so convenient to watch whenever I want.
