The heroics of the dog Max are told through the eyes of the family of the deceased Marine who served as Max's handler in combat. Movie was requested as a Christmas gift by my 13-year old grandnephew.

We watched this movie when first released & knew that this was one we had to have for our dvd collection at home. This movie has a great story line for all ages, even my 10 year old loved it.

Excellent movie. Mostly family friendly. There is a little war violence that may scare some little ones but otherwise safe. Great story and love those service dogs! Amazing animals!

I am a sucker for any animal movie but this is one that I will watch again and very relevant to what is happening now with so many service dogs.

I enjoyed this movie. It was great to watch with my 10 year old niece. She thoroughly enjoyed it and talked about parts of it for days after watching it. It does deal with tragedy from war.

I recommend this movie to all families. It is sad yet happy. It is a beautiful story about the loyalty of this German Shepherd. If you are a dog lover (or not) you should see this movie.

The Max movie shows how war dogs and their handlers bond. They are the forgotten heros in a wartime situation. Many a dog gave their life for their handler and their devotion was unmatched

Very timely subject of the dvd because we have several dogs returning from duty in Iraq and Afganistan. They suffer pstd just like our soldiers do. Hope it raises awareness of the problem.

I got this for my daughter after she had asked for it multiple times. When I brought it home from buying it, she immediately grabbed it. Good family movie to see.

This was a good heartwarming family movie. I am a sucker for dogs and MAX was very much to my liking. I know this movie was biased on a true story of a canine's devotion to his handler but I think there was too much literary license applied to the story line and some unreal screens. However it was an enjoyable movie to watch .

I think this movie shows what hardship families go through when they lose a loved one especially from the line of duty. It was a great movie and my whole family enjoyed watching it.

these are also our vets and I wish we were big enough to treat BOTH our four legged and two legged vets with more compassion because they give us our FREEDOMS !!!

Very enjoyable family Blueray plus DVD. Relaxing but thrilling presentation. Would definitely recommend this DVD to friends and family. Great filming and graphics. Super acting.

I loved this movie in theatres and it is a great addition to my movies collection at home. I love how this movie is in support of our troops as well as just a heart felt story.

Who doesn't like a dog movie when the dog is the hero. A dog's love and bonding with his partner is unconditional. A must see movie for those who like dogs and a good movie!

Max is a cute family movie. Dog movies always make me cry though, but it was good, enjoyed it with the family.

MAX was a great movie for those who love dogs, lots of action, and a well made movie. It's a great addition to any family's Blu-Ray library. Great for the WHOLE family!
