I have only had this for over a week now, but the first disappointment is the water and ice feature on the door. The position of the water dispensing nozzle is too forward, and so it runs down near the outer edge of any glass you are pouring. It would be easy to make a mess if you are not precise in the position of the glass and the angle you hold it. Equally disappointing is that the water is not cold that comes out. It is like room temperature water, and this is do to a faulty design. The reservoir holding the water is way too small, so it never gets cold. Maytag should learn how to do it right by other manufacturers. My 26 year old GE dispensed ice cold water from the door every time. This Maytag is a huge disappointment in that regard. Also, there should be two separate dispensing areas on the door, one for ice and one for water. If you don't remember to hit the panel control spot to change it from ice back to water, then next time you put your glass in there and press it, out splashes ice, crushed or cube, when you weren't expecting that and it makes a mess all over the door front and onto your floor. What a pain. Terrible design. Also, very slow at making ice. The only reason why I bought this is because it was a little shorter than other better models, and it fit easily where it had to go. Also, the matching range was more reasonably priced than was GE, LG or Samsung, and I wanted a matching set. I didn't want to spend a lot because I am selling my house and needed to update the appliances, but I didn't want poor quality either.

Nice large fridge with plenty of space. Very easy to use. Only down side is that is not flush with our countertop, but it does the job well.
