Maytag always a dependable choice.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been impressed with the ease of operation. Instructions were easy to follow and understand. This high efficiency washer not only is so energy and water efficient...it also does an excellent job washing the clothes. I realize how poorly my old washer was operating when the clothes come out of the new Maytag washer spin cycle...they aren't as heavy and wet anymore...certainly also saving me money with less dryer time needed now.

Wets clothes and sloshes them around!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is our first HE washing machine and it is taking a lot of getting used to. First of all, the wash cycle is very slow--maybe 50% slower than our 30 year old Maytag that it replaced. Filling the tub takes forever because the water pours in like a lazy waterfall. Actually, the tub never "fills". It doesn't use much water--for a regular load, there is hardly any water level visible. We are not sure how well it cleans with so little water. We are still trying to figure that out. There is no dial timer like our old machine--there are just selection dials and indicator lights so there is no way of knowing how much time is left to do whatever it is doing. The jury is still out on this one but for now, it seems to be giving us decent clothes.

Exactly What We Wanted and Made in USA!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We did the trendy-thing years ago and bought a front loader LG. After about 10 yrs, it was time for a new washer. We wanted to go back to top loader. We remember the pain of the "agitator" with twisted/wrapped up laundry and went with the "impeller". So far so good! The challenge with top loader washers was finding one that you didn't have to stand there and wait to add detergent. This was the only option with a dispenser. We love it!

My first upgrade in 15 years
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this washer. Didn't know how it would do with the low water and no agitator. But it cleans well.

Hated it since day 1....
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There are some things that just don't get wet at all, unless you use the Bulky Sheets option on it. Those things do need to get wet to clean! And when you use the Bulky Sheets option, it fills it slam to the top of the washer, which is way too much water for them. Then when it rinses, the water goes slam to the top of it again. I have to wash them 2 times a week, which has raised my water bill $12-$20 a month. I have enough sense to change my water level on a washer on each load. I don't know why they removed the water level on washers. If you use the normal option on anything at all, you get an amount of water that is equal to spit, which won't clean. I don't care what they say, it just doesn't clean. Also I'd never buy another washer without an aggitator. This one has the impellor instead of the aggitator. It was delivered April 1st, 2019 and today is August 3rd.

Cleans great
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Skeptical having no agitator at first, but it works real well. You have to get used to the different sounds it makes. Big inside too!

so far so good
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this for my parents.I'm only giving his a 4 star only because they only had this for a month. They were a little skeptical about not much water usage. It does clean their clothes. There is a deep wash option and I would recommend using that for big items such as a blanket or doing a huge load of laundry.

What You Need To Know
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.PROS: -Huge capacity, anything will fit in this -Washes clothes thoroughly -Uses less water (maybe) -Uses less detergent -Spins clothes very well CONS: -Lid is locked most of operation, no ability to stop quickly or access to filling water -Cannot adjust water level -High tech, so more stuff to break -Possibly rougher on clothing -Lid makes contact with main control knob if you don't open it carefully... really? Poor design that will ultimately damage the control. NOTES- The thing you most importantly need to know is you cannot manually adjust the amount of water that your clothes will be washed in. The level is set by a sophisticated sensor system and if this is not working properly this washer will be useless. I suspect this is what has happened for many that gave bad reviews of this washer. I don't recommend adding large items with regular clothing as they tend to get stuck on top and don't agitate properly. If you're expecting this thing to behave like a conventional washer then buy something else that's not what it is. CYCLES: -Deep Water Wash: it is not, useless cycle -Bulky/Sheets: this will fill the tub all the way up and you should use this for any large items, even jackets -Hand Wash: fills the water level slightly higher than 'normal' but agitates the clothes less, more soaking -Normal: uses a reasonable amount of water and works fine -Extra Rinse: use this, you can use it on any cycle but you're not really saving much water

Low Water washer
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have mixed feeling on this washer. Seems that the water level is a bit low for some loads. Maytag stated that it is normal. I'm just not used to low water level washing machines as this is the first HE washer I've owned. Previous are the traditional agitator models.

Not happy with this washer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was not happy with this washer. It made a loud noise while going through the sensing part of the cycle then truly didn't get clothes clean. Of course, being an HE appliance, it didn't use much water, but with barely anything in it, I had clothes that got wet ONLY when water was pouring in. I never saw suds. Minor soiling on items weren't cleaned. The bulky sheets cycle used much more water, but still didn't get clothes clean. In the end, I returned the machine.
