Very noisy machine

Every aspect of its performance is extremely loud. I have never known a washing machine to be this noisey. It sounds likea gigantic tin can when its running even though it was supposedly balanced by the installer. I thought about returning it but did not.

My new MAYTAG washing Machine

The Maytag top loading washer has an even larger diameter barrel than the Kenmore it replaced, which means it is easier to put the clothes in and then take them out. Hopefully, this MAYTAG will also give many years of great service, too!

But specially don't like that the water doesn't start running while lid is open I don't like to put detergent straight on the clothes or am I missing a step?

Would rather it have had a detergent and softener dispenser drawer instead of placing detergent at the bottom of the washer, then load clothes.
