The Maytag top loading washer has an even larger diameter barrel than the Kenmore it replaced, which means it is easier to put the clothes in and then take them out. Hopefully, this MAYTAG will also give many years of great service, too!

Very noisy machine

Every aspect of its performance is extremely loud. I have never known a washing machine to be this noisey. It sounds likea gigantic tin can when its running even though it was supposedly balanced by the installer. I thought about returning it but did not.

But specially don't like that the water doesn't start running while lid is open I don't like to put detergent straight on the clothes or am I missing a step?

Would rather it have had a detergent and softener dispenser drawer instead of placing detergent at the bottom of the washer, then load clothes.

Canceled the delivery twice on the same day it was supposed to be delivered. Customer service is a joke! Kept saying we needed to go to the store to buy a different (more expensive) machine. Then, they wouldn’t refund my money because the machine was “in transit”. I told them “if it was in transit we wouldn’t be having this conversation.” I had to call back the next day for another 45 minutes on the phone with customer service. Nothing was easy. I wrote an email to the CEO of Best Buy. No response! The FTC really needs to look into deceptive trade practices of Best Buy.

We don’t need any of the premium features the simpler it is the better it works!
