I have never had a Maytag brand and I absolutely love this washer, and the front load which is so much easier to get my clothes out since I am only 5 feet tall. I love the wash and the many features it has. Truly happy with my purchase.

Other models allow easy access to the pump through the front of the washer. You need to be able to clean the filter easily and not have to pull the washer apart to do it! The washer sits under the dryer, which means each time you need to clean the washer pump, you have to move the dryer in order to begin the process of getting access to clean the pump filter on the washer!

The repairman came out and accessed it the day before Thanksgiving. The part he received was incorrect, so as of today still not repaired. We have been to the laundromat weekly since purchase

Worked fine for the first 2 months. Last week, washer started with "sd" message on two consequtive washes and ended up with "F9"/"E1" error message on the third wash. Both washes with "sd" message resulted in water leaks at the bottom of the washer at the end of the cycle. Tried a clean washer cycle as instruction booklet said but ended up with "sd" again. Was able to clear the message but problem hasn't gone away. Something not right with drain and possibly the electronics has gone awry. Since it is under warranty, waiting for tech to show up. Three weeks wait for the tech visit. Really dissatisfied with the washer failing so soon and delayed service response.
