Still haven’t tried the convection option as I am still making sure that the heating element is working properly for regular baking.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.In less then two months of purchase the oven doesn't work any more I left this gas range in my garage for about one moth until I can get the gas line ran in to the kitchen then my wife started using it , after about five or six uses when you try to bake some thing you turn it on it works for five seconds then it cuts off and unfortunately I did not buy the Warantee so, I am on my own

Dissapointment In Once Trusted Brand

The oven door was also defective in assembly from the factory in that the inner and outer portions of the oven door were mismatched and separating. Grates did not fit securely on the stove. Returned unused. Regretted not keeping my 23 year old Kenmore stove as it was better quality and construction.

BUT turned the oven to 450 to burn off the factory coating and after a half hour my entire kitchen was considerably hotter then the rest of the house. I went to store a few skillets in the bottom drawer ( which is to shallow) and burnt the back of my fingers on a body trim piece under the oven door. I only left cast iron skillets in the drawer since I'm thinking it could melt the handles on my Teflon skillets. The broiler is inside to the top of my oven NOT on the bottom. Also the sides and plate behind the burner knobs got vary worm from the oven being on. The insulation is not enough. Heat escapes to make the whole unit hot. I worry if that much heat escaping will hurt my cabinets and floor...??

I exchanged the MGR8700ds for this model because the oven didn't heat up correctly on the 8700. I've used the stove top and oven only once, but they worked great! I haven't used the True Convection yet, but stay tuned for my review update on that! I plan on testing it next week! The looks of this new model are gorgeous compared to the 8700! Sleeker and with more bells and whistles! I plan on testing it out a lot in the next few weeks and hope to bump up my rating to 4 stars!

This Maytag is great and my wife loves it. Keeps the correct oven temperature just as it should. It looks great too and the controls are easy to use.

The front burners burns everything. The flame is very close to the pot and the low setting is still too high. The middle burner is a waste. If you use the oven & 4 burners at the same time it sets off the fan forever which is very annoying. The oven takes a long time to bake anything. They look nice on the outside but i feel like it was a waste of money! Not happy with non of the Maytag appliances. :)

Very unsafe and burns everything

The temp in the oven is not constant from side to side and burns everything.thecontrols on the front get so hot that they will burn your hands or what ever touches them. Convection and normal bake has the same effect. Would return if I could.
