  • Fingerprint resistant stainless steel: Keeps your range looking as good on the outside as it works on the inside.
  • Precision Cooking system: Uses sensor heating to help ensure each meal is cooked evenly.
  • Five cooktop burners: To meet various cooking requirements.
  • Porcelain-enamel cooktop surface: Offers a durable design.
  • Power burners: Ranging from 15,000 to 18,000 BTUs, Power burners allow for a slow, even sauté and the intense heat for a seared, juicy steak.
  • 8,000-BTU oval burner: Helps ensure even heating when you're cooking with oversized pots and pans.
  • Simmer burner: Provides 800 to 5,000 BTUs of precise, adjustable heat to give your gas range both a full-power simmer burner and warming setting all in one.
  • True convection: Uses a powerful third heating element and a sturdy fan to circulate even temperatures for faster baking and roasting.
  • AquaLift self-cleaning technology: Clean your oven in under an hour with the odor-free, low-heat cleaning of AquaLift self-cleaning technology. Just add water, run the cycle, and wipe with a wet sponge when the cycle is finished.
  • Sealed surface burners: Help prevent leaks making cleaning faster and easier. The hidden bake element is sealed under the oven floor to protect it from spills and drips.
  • Accommodates multiple courses simultaneously: 5.8 cu. ft. oven lets you cook for a large group in less time.
  • Power Preheat: Lets you enjoy dinner faster with juicy flavor every time. (Based on single-rack baking with Power Preheat option versus three-rack baking without option selected.)
  • Auto Convect Conversion: Adjusts your traditional recipes to the right convection time and temperature without all the complexity.
  • Max capacity rack: Supports your largest dishes and dips down so you have plenty of room for cooking.
  • Variable broil: Brings the best results out of broiling with just the right temperatures for quick-cooking tasty meals.
  • Delay Bake setting: You can place your dishes inside the oven and program when you want the baking to begin.
  • Durable construction: Cast-iron grates, heavy-duty door hinges, and premium ball-bearing drawer glides are built for dependability.
  • Safely maintains a temperature for an extended period of time: Sabbath mode helps you comply with kosher cooking practices.

Q: Are the burner grates easy to clean?.. These grates sort of take up the whole cook top it looks like, unlike my stove, so was wondering how it easy it is, to keep clean?

A: The grates are not a problem. The problem is the black surface under the grates which shows up every stray speck of salt and grease. If you get it in white it is easier to deal with.

Q: Can you simmer food with this range? One of the complaints was the small burner has high flame on the lowest setting.

A: Yes, you should be able to simmer. The small burner on the rear right side goes to a very low flame. I do find it easy to forget to turn the burner control to the full counter-clockwise position which is the lowest simmer position. With no pan over the burner, you can check this for a low flame still visible with the control turned fully counter-clockwise. If you still have a high flame, then there must be a problem with the gas feed control to the burner requiring calling the seller (if still covered by a purchasing warranty) or Maytag to locate a service technician nearby.

Q: Are the stove knobs plastic? If so has anyone had issues with them?

A: Missy, the Range knobs are made of Weighted-Plastic.

Q: Maytag - 5.8 Cu. Ft. Self-Cleaning Freestanding Gas Convection Range - White Is there a broiler feature?

A: There is a convection broiler feature. It works very good. And there is a top burner in oven for broiling as well.

Q: Can you individually light the oven and/or the burners or the pilot light if the power goes out?

A: Hi -, In case of prolonged power failure, the surface burners can be lit manually. Hold a lit match near a burner and turn knob counterclockwise to LITE. After burner lights, turn knob to desired setting.

Q: Is there a bottom drawer and will it fit tall pots?

A: Yes, there is a bottom drawer. NO, it will not accommodate tall pots. I keep flat baking pans there.

Q: I noticed that this stove is marked unavailable, will it be available soon or it's stopped being manufactured?

A: Hello! We are sorry to hear about this concern. Please reach out to Best Buy Customer Care at 1-888-237-8289 for further assistance. We hope this helps.

Q: What materials are used for the grates?

A: Hello AnnG, the grates are Porcelain Coated Cast Grates. Thank you for your inquiry on our Maytag appliances.
