I never had the pleasure of playing the original, but when the remake was announced, I knew I had to give it a whirl. It being a seemingly faithful remake means that you will have to deal with the drawbacks of level design from that era, but it is never boring!

The original Medievil for the PS1 was such a delight to play and this newly redone classic is about as good as a remake gets. Everything you loved from the original is there with fantastic new graphics and even a few new surprises. I would highly recommend this for fans of the original.

If you liked the original MediEvil and want to play it again, but with better graphics, buy this. If you've never played MediEvil before, the price point may be a bit too high for a game that still plays like a PlayStation 1 game. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but it is very much a port of an old game and not a particularly new experience.

The game was on sale and plus I had a discount coupon, so I paid less than the cost of a grande Starbucks beverage for it. I’m only 2-3 hours into the game, but what an absolute steal. I enjoyed the original way back on PS1. Would recommend.

This is truly one of the classics. As you investigate and conquer there are many enemies and obstacles to face which makes this game really enjoyable and interesting to play. It’s an original and at the same time a wonderful experience.

This is a childhood favorite of mine. I first ever experienced this game via PSP and when I saw this coming to PS4 I was excited! The game still seems to be the same, just converted to PS4 which I don’t mind. Since I wasn’t able to finish it in the past I get my chance now.

A fantastic PSone classic, reborn for the modern era! I grew up with this game on the original Playstation and I'm absolutely loving the remaster! It offers plenty of improvements of the original and not just in the graphical department, but overall controls. It's a fantastic blast from the past with a modern coat of paint!

This is exactly Medievil as you remember but with a beautiful new coat of paint. The gameplay elements stay true to the original but with some major quality of life improvements. I hope this trend of QUALITY remakes and remasters continues because I love to see it. I recommend this game, especially if you can catch it on sale.

I 100% completed this game on PS1 a long time ago so I was excited for the remake. I had a great time playing through Halloween with this game and 100% platinumed it again! Its just really fun, especially if you're trying to get in a Halloween mood.

This remake is quite literally a frame by frame recreation of the original game for the Playstation One. Some critics are upset because they didn't "innovate," but for fans of this game and especially those that are looking for a trip down Nostalgia lane, this is a definite gem. The combat is cleaner, the levels are gorgeous, the music is all done by the original composer, Andrew Barnabas. Medievil for the PS4 might have a new skin after 20 years, but it's still the same amazing game at it's core. Definitely recommend.

The original game was great, this HD remake is fantastic. It's graphics are updated for next gen, the controls are improved and the game is fun.

Never played the original on PlayStation back in the day, but this was still a great little experience. Still has some of that old school platformer jank of its time, But still plays and looks amazing and runs up to 60fps on PS4 Pro!

This game is a perfect remake of the original that plays just how I remember it, but with beautiful visuals. If you want the nostalgia of a PS1 game, this is it. If you wanted something new, you're asking for this to be something it was never intended to be.

This is one epic game from my childhood that’s been remastered and reissued for PS4. It has the classic gameplay style of the original release but with updated graphics and many more awesome things . If you like the first release you’d enjoy this!

A very well done remake of the original game. Can be hard for some, but it's old school gaming at it's best. Gameplay hasn't really changed at it's core. Haven't beaten it yet, about halfway, and I've enjoyed it very much.

A great remake of a classic playstation game but now for the Sony Playstation 4. Gameplay remains simple and fun, while still providing a good challenge to gamers. All in all a fun game worth trying for the price!

This 4 stars are due to me loving the original and finding this very faithfull and still fresh feeling. But, if you are young, as in borned this millennium, this might be too clunky. This more Crash Bandicoot remake than Resident Evil 2 remake. Still worth your time, but mind the mind readjustment.

The remake work is exceptionally done. However the gameplay while faithful to the original s outdated by today's standards. If you are a fan of MediEvil back in the day, you will enjoy this remake. If it's your first time, you may have trouble getting into this game.

Totally walking down nostalgia Ave when I saw this game in the store. It is every bit like the original and was ecstatic to be able to play through it again. Would recommend this game for everyone who enjoys this genre of game!

If you either rloved or missed out on the original PlayStation classic, pick this up. It adds a few more things than just a graphical update, so even if you could play the original with your eyes closed, it brings see new things to the table.
