Customers regard the RoadTrip 61.6" Tripod highly for its sturdiness, light weight, and the convenience of its monopod conversion. The tripod's compact size and reasonable price are also appreciated, along with the smooth ball head; however, some users have experienced issues with the leg extension mechanism.

What more could you ask for? The head action is smooth while providing infinite adjustment. The knobs lock and hold their position even when used with very heavy cameras, like a vintage 4x5 monorail (graflex graphicview). The center vertical adjusts easily and provides for extra weights in case you want to lower the center of gravity and improve the stability even further. Not mentioned in the literature, the ball mount head is removable so you could replace it with a different head. The fixed mounting point beneath the ball mount head is a larger thread so you will need to keep that in mind. I was concerned about the price but those concerns vanished as I began to use the tripod. It's definitely ok to spend camera dough on things besides optics!

I have never had a tripod be this portable! It is lightweight and easy to fold up and take just about anywhere. The fact that the middle post attaches to one of the legs to form a monopod is just icing on the cake. It is pretty pricey though...

Love this tripod. I love how it can easily be taken from a normal tripod down to a monopod. The legs are very sturdy and well constructed. The leg locking functions are good. This is a tripod that can support a heavy camera and fit within a standard backpack inside of its own carrying case.

I love this little tripod, it's the perfect size to take on the road, it's light weight and so sturdy that I trust it to hold my camera with my biggest lens. I'll be taking it to Europe with me and leaving my Manfrotto at home.

After much research and the the members at best buy telling me how great this tripod was I got.
It's light and fairly sturdy but for My camera set up (nikon D610 with nikon 200/500lens) it could not cut it...i had to swap the first one thinking that it was defective but the head just could not hold my camera and lens combo..now take into consideration that my combo weights in and around 8 lbs.
It's a bit pricey, now finding a carbon fiber 1 that is 20$ more and weighs 1/2 less.
All in all its a good purchase taking in to consideration what you expect to get put of it..

This tripod is very sturdy and very well constructed. Definitely an upgrade over my old plastic tripod. Easily adjustable and the legs lock in two positions. Great addition and a must have for any camera owner.

I love this tripod. It's fairly light and super stable and durable. I'm able to use my Peak Design baseplate with it. I've already taken it on multiple night shoots of city skylines and I have no shake, even with 10 second+ exposures. Best Buy offers a great deal by giving you 25% camera accessories when you buy 3 or more eligible items. I was able to save $50 on this purchase and pick up some camera batteries I needed that I also got 25% off of. Definitely a great offer.

This tripod is fantastic! It can do everything I can imagine (including converting into a mono-pod), and is much lighter in weight than you would expect from something so sturdy. Also, I love the vibrant color!

I generally purchase other major name brands (Manfrotto, Sachtler, Bogen) as far as tripods are concerned. As someone who shoots with pro gear, you want the best. In this case, we purchased a 360º camera to use for real estate photography purposes. We quickly came to find on our first shoot that our normal Manfrotto setup for smaller cameras had way too wide a head (it was a three-way photography head). We wanted something with a ball joint, and we needed it quickly/locally. After dropping by BestBuy and looking at the products that have a ball joint head with no arms protruding from the head, we decided that this tripod was the best option.
It's built like a tank, it has variable resistance on not only the ball joint, but the pan as well. It also has degree markings on the tripod so you can take panoramic photos that stitch together nicely. Most importantly (for 360 Photography especially), it has a bubble level post ball joint.
Best yet, it's built like a tank and you can remove two of the three legs to use it as a monopod should you want to.

Boy, am I glad I purchased this MeFOTO tripod! Recommended by a friend, I almost passed it up, thinking I'd rarely use it. But, now that I have it, I use it every single day! It makes such a difference in the stability of my photos, and, since it's lightweight, it's easy to move from location to location.

Build quality is excellent. I bought this while on vacation to replace a compact Manfrotto that broke due to a horrible design flaw where the camera was held to the ball solely by a narrow section of stressed plastic. This tripod is a tank by comparison. There are no weak points I could find, and it folds up smaller than the Manfrotto.

Love this tripod. Had a Manfrotto before this which was heavier. This is much more manageable for traveling. It's not carbon fiber, but this is still light enough! Dig it!

I havent owned many tripods but this one is very compact, breaks down into about 16 inches long, very light at only about 3 pounds. its very sturdy if you make sure all legs are tightened. Has 1 nice grip on one of the legs, i wish it was all 3 legs but none the less works very well, sturdy and locks your camera down.

It isn't quite as travel friendly as I had hoped. It is very sturdy, but its not quite as quick set-up or change as I thought it might be. The quick attachment isn't very quick either. There are a lot of good features though and I would recommend it as great value. I like the level in the tripod, helps me a lot!

Product seems to be very sturdy. Only issue I have had with this item is one leg doesn't open up smoothly. All the section are twist and then extend. The threads on one section are very rough when turning. So locking and unlocking the leg is not very smooth. Not sure how long it will last with issues with the threads. Other than this it functions just as it should. Holds my DSLR camera nice and steady. Head turns and swivels very smooth. I would recommend this tripod. I am sure I just got a defective one. The other two legs work flawless.
