Customers regard the RoadTrip 61.6" Tripod highly for its sturdiness, light weight, and the convenience of its monopod conversion. The tripod's compact size and reasonable price are also appreciated, along with the smooth ball head; however, some users have experienced issues with the leg extension mechanism.

I had to pick up this tripod at the last minute for a photography workshop. I was surprised how well it performed. it's well built, legs operate smoothly. It's not for extreme weight or heavy wind conditions (unless you keep it low) but it an excellent, lightweight travel tripod.

I've been surprised by the build quality of this tripod. The head is smooth enough for video use, although a proper video head is better for videos. This is a solid tripod, and not light. So if you are looking for a lighter tripod, I would recommend getting carbon fiber legs and using this head for photos. The screw model for extending the legs is also less convenient than the traditional clamps, but I still feel this is a well made tripod.

Worth paying the extra bucks. This held the weight of my Canon 70 and 24-70 lens. I purchased a cheaper tripod previously but it was to flimsy and fell once my camera was attached.

After some review and out of necessity, I settled on the Mefoto tripod for my first tripod. It has turned out to be just what I needed. I am mostly using it w/my Nikon d750 to shoot video of my kid's hockey games. Works like a charm and lightweight. Only criticism of this unit is the drag setting on the ball head. I don't really see any usefulness of it. But that could also be my inexperience. Would recommend to others.

Not the lightest tripod but not the heaviest either. Great quality build, feels sturdy, the ball head is excellent. The only thing that I'd change is the locks for the leg extensions. Repeatedly twisting them to extend and relock gets tedious and is rough on the hands, but I knew that when buying it. Would recommend for the price for sure.

We returned a Black Friday special tri pod and went with this....quicker to lock camera into place and sturdier. We have VCC a collection of worthless tripods...we have found the one we like!

Love this tripod! The ball head is very easy to use with 3 position knobs! It does convert to a monopoly, I haven't used it yet but gr8 to know that it's there! Reverse the center column to get close to the ground n for macro! I am so glad that I got this tripod! I would recommend for a second tripod!

I bought a 600mm lens and I needed a tripod that could handle it. I did some research and this and a few others could handle the weight.
It's very sturdy, I like it, the three knobs at the head could be marked better so you know what each one does. It's heavier than I thought it would be, I don't think I'll take it on too many vacations.

I'm very satisfied with the solid, compact design tripod. No issues at all with my heavy Canon 7D Mark II with 70-200EFS mounted. Highly adjustable and just feels strong. Folds up quick and the travel bag is a good fit. Only thing I would change is the telescoping leg adjustment. lever locks would be a be improvement over the twist locks.

This is a nice sturdy tripod. It's definitely not flimsy like some of the other ones that I have tried. It's a little bit on the expensive side, but I say it's worth the investment if you take photography serious.
