No, Memoirs of an Invisible Man isn't going to top anyone's favorite John Carpenter's film list, but it IS kinda underrated. It's not him going for his master or horror tag, it's him having a fun time with a sci-fi infused version of North by Northwest.
The film look great for how old it is, with some nice bonus material. Enjoy reminding yourself that this in fact was a big stepping stone between Terminator 2 and Jurassic Park when it comes to the visual effects work Industrial Light and Magic were doing.

Considered a lesser Carpenter film, it is still highly entertaining, and Chevy Chase is great in a rare non-comedy performance (though he gets to play some humorous moments.) Shout Factory presents good PQ and AQ as always.

Movie arrived timely and in "new" condition. Plastic overlay was clear & crisp. Case opened & closed as it should. Movie played with no skips. Audio was soft so the volume has to be turned up loud to hear clearly. Movie is a must have for Chevy Chase fans.

While not John Carpenter's best film, MEMOIRS is still very interesting. I especially like the musical score--it emphasizes the action on screen very well.

Chevy Chase accidentally becomes invisible and he escapes from the clutches of bad scientists. It's a different, fun John Carpenter movie.

Chevy Chase was great in this as it has some comic timing needed but was very enjoyable still after all these years

I love this movie, its Chevy Chase in a somewhat serious role. It has comedic moments but a serious tone and its directed by John Carpenter.

This is not the greatest film ever made, but it's fun, funny and fast paced. The dvd transfer is decent, so it's a nice little buy.

John Carpenter directs this Chevy Chase sci-fi action-comedy about a shifty stock-broker who turns invisible in an accident which has corrupt CIA agents set to exploit him or experiment on him. Bridging apart Chevy Chases' efforts to divert comedy for this mixed bag, the special effects are superb, but the plot and surprises are slim. Daryl Hannah and Sam Neill lead well in this playful comedy thriller.
