You can practically hang them anywhere and on anything. When you turn the lights on it looks really nice. Know that there is a battery box that houses 2 batteries at one end, and might be tricky to hide. You can arrange your photos however you would like and tell a story through them. My only wish is that the clips, holding the pictures, were slightly bigger. Overall a nice product and would make a great gift for anyone who loves to display their mini pictures.
