I listened to a couple tracks online, and figured I would really enjoy this album. however, I guessed wrong. Aside from 2 or 3 tracks, I really didn't enjoy the rest of the album. It doesn't mean that you won't, it just wasn't all to my personal liking.

Babymetal's second Album

Babymetal continues to break all barriers and set new records. On their second album "Metal Resistance" you will find many different styles of metal, from Black Death Metal to Power Ballads and everything in between. As well as their first song with English lyrics which is called "The One". The One doesn't just serve to unite the Babymetal fans, but the world. We are Babymetal! We All, are the One!
Give this album a few spins and you won't be ably to get it out of your head. You'll be humming the tunes all day long.
Great effort and amazing musician ship, the arrangement and production is just beautiful and catchy as only Babymetal can deliver!

As an old-school fan of '80s metal bands like Metallica, Anthrax, and Megadeth, I'll be the first to admit that the metal genre has left a lot be to desired over the last 20 years or so. Babymetal is the greatest breath of fresh air to come along in all that time. After their crazy first album, a mishmash of death metal and J-pop that had no business working so well and yet absolutely did, the band is back with "Metal Resistance," a more refined and mature evolution of the concept that doesn't reveal a single dud from beginning to end. The tunes are memorable, the vocals impressive, and the musicianship absolutely fantastic. A lot of what I loved the most about metal in the '80s is on proud, full display here, complete with that unique Babymetal twist. I can't recommend this CD highly enough, and I'm so happy this crazy, wonderful band is finding a Western audience!

Album Of The Year

BABYMETAL are back!! For those who aren't familiar with the group, listen to some of their songs before purchasing anything by them. This is a love 'em or hate 'em group. METAL RESISTANCE stays true to their sound from their previous album when it comes to most songs. However, there are a few that are quite different, and a welcomed change of pace. The only problem that I have with this is, like many other artists, tracklists differ just slightly in other countries (just Japan in this case). My favorite track of theirs is "Syncopation," which isn't on the US release. However, you don't want only the Japanese version, as then you'll miss out on "From Dusk Till Dawn," which is an excellent bridge from part 1 of the album to part 2. Do yourselves a favor: Buy the US edition and then purchase the mp3 of "Syncopation" from a Japanese site (Amazon, iTunes, etc.). In a day of so much piracy, please support this band and purchase their music. They truly deserve it. And hopefully The Fox God will bless us with many more years of this amazing band!!

Babymetal certainly brings something new to the heavy metal scene. If you were a fan of their previous CD you definitely will not be disappointed this time around. Songs like Karate are going to blow you away. These girls will certainly betray all of your expectations. Don't hesitate to pick this CD up.

Babymetal has done it again! I was instantly hooked when I first heard their first album and absolutely had to purchase it. Metal Resistance definitely maintains their unique genre, but is also a more refined sound as their mature. I need to see them in concert!

Ok so I knew about the group before buying the album, but what I can tell you is this. The album is heavy! They are a Japanese group that mixes pop idols with metal and it works. This album has the single Karate, and has a host of other great songs that go from heavy crunching metal to ballads, and in between. Very enjoyable cd.

Babymetal grew on me the more I listened. There are some great tracks, especially Karate, but others are a bit less excellent. Overall a great album to introduce this Japanese metal artist to America. Plus, the girls are so darn cute!

Not bad, but not among the best out there

This group is made up of contributing musicians who may change from one record to the next, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. But I bought because this release featured the skills of one of my favorite drummers, Mike Portnoy. The group rocks and the playing is still really good and tight. But I just wasn't too wild about the songwriting. I think there could have been more depth there.
