Metallica is my all time favorite rock band and this film is also in 3D, so it surely was a must own. The concert footage was great and the story around it was entertaining, but I was a bit disappointed by the Inconsistent 3D photography that the film was shot in. Some scenes looked great but some looked quite flat.

I was excited about this movie for awhile now. I saw it at the midnight showing and couldn't wait for the Blu Ray. My only complaint is that there is not an all in one combo that has all versions, (Blu Ray 3D, Blu Ray, DVD, & Digital)

Just purchased a 55 4k 3d SuperHd Sony Television along with a Sony receiver and Hd 3d Bluray player and this was the first movie I watched and was BLOWN away …My ears and eyes were totally assaulted in the best way possible!

I've seen Metallica live a number of times and this 3D experience rivals all of them! If you've got a great sound system and 3D monitor/player, this disc will make you feel like you're on the stage!

Loved it! Gave a different outlook on how a concert can be merged into a move concept. Was able to keep me interested with action scenerio. Concert was amazing on screen, only wish I would have reviewed it in theaters.

Interesting blend of concert footage with a protagonist plot. 3d effects are realistic and give the perception of being on stage. 3d version does come with a download code for digital version, but not a 2d copy - or extra discs. Overall, a great concert, but too expensive for anyone other than dedicated Metallica fans.

I bought this as a gift for someone and they raved about it! Said it was the best DVD eeeever. Decent price, nice camera work and a decent story from what I'm told. "Every Metallica fan should check this out."

If you like the music of Metallica then you will love watching this movie of a real concert and the story part of the movie is a boy on a bad trip who loses his way to pick up a much needed item for the concert.

If you are a live music fan, metallica fan, or both this is a great watch. They blended a live concert with a short story to create a very interesting metallica concert movie. I thought it was great.

Great movie and a must have if you are a Metallica fan. 3D imagines are sharp and vivid. Not much of a fan of the story line, but the concert aspect of it is the best.

You can never go wrong with Metallica. Combine awesome concert footage with an eerie, creepy backstory and your left with a good movie and great inspiration to go pick up a guitar and jam!!!

Over all it's a great item to purchase. All Metallica fans should owns it if they don't yet. As a franchises store I would advertise it more in the stores. I believe it would get sold more to those people entering a rock era in their life. Metallica really made this item for the fans!

great insite to metallica on how they made the dvd and the out lay of there new stage for concerts only issue i had was i bought the 3d version only not 3d and blue ray dvd my fault for not looking at the package. all together a great dvd for the metallica fan in your family.

I was very surprised by the sound quality and the concert footage. Excellent video and a cool story to go with the show. Definitely recommend this to every Metallica fan!

Couldn't find it in the store or anywhere else really. It looks and sounds great! A great way to show off your home theater 3-D TV set up W Tallica!!!

Even though I'm a Metallica fan, I was skeptical on a movie. I was pleasantly surprised at how well the "movie" portion tied in with their music throughout the movie. It was also really great to see the concert footage with all of the extra props involved.

I was waiting more than two years to buy this 3D DVD to send to my son, who lives in Brazil. He will be very happy with this product.

The Metallica Through the Never 3D is really an awesome movie, and not only a music show. Very good story happening at backstage and on stage. It's a must see!

Love Metallica, loved how this movie looked and sounded in the movie theater. Obviously you can't recreate that environment in a home setting but I was looking forward to all kinds of killer extras. The movie documentary on the making of the film is ok, but focuses too much on everyone NOT in the band! I LOVE 3d, and all the movies I buy I prefer the 3d version because usually comes with the regular blu-ray version as well, and digital as well. Not this package. It's 3d only! The digital version is some 3rd party site I never heard of. Not easy to download. I had to email the company directly to fix it. If you want the full set of 3d + blu-ray, you're gonna have to pay $70! No thanks
