It is Metallica, Great Concert Movie. As usual Metallica is awesome on stage.

So I saw this in Imax 3D back when it was in theaters and it was quite an experience. The 3D was awesome and the incorporation of an actual concert and plot harkened back to The Wall. The Blu-Ray set does indeed come with a working redeemable Digital Copy though it predates UV (which is now defunct) and isn't iTunes either it's just a standalone server that's still active to redeem a downloadable MKV file which is about 1.5 Gb. It's an awesome deal and the 3D still stands up as one of the best because it was shot in 3D.

A great concert movie. Definitely did not expect such great entertainment.

50% concert 50% movie 100% metal!!! The best metal DVD ever!!!

This was a fantastic concert film. It didn't rely solely on the concert footage to drive the picture, but instead interspliced film footage of a roadies quest to find a mysterious object for the band. The concert footage itself was spectacular, especially the bulletstorm used to open up "one." The electric chair that hung high above the stage is lit up with lightning bolts fueling "ride the lightning." As the concert progresses so does the story involving the young roadie. The music crushes as the chaos in the outside streets rages on. Its all led by an apocalyptic figure on a horse following the roadie. Its interesting to see the stage creation come to life. Set dedecorations come to life as songs from various albums are performed. All the stages of Metallica's career are performed in grand fashion in a fantastic representation. Showing full heartedly that Metalicca can still perform and rock out relentlessly!

This is Metallica doing what they do best. This movie rocks!

Buy it for the show and the music! It's obviously plotless, but we love Metallica because of their music, right?!
