This works as expected. Simple plug and play. I purchased a Ram 1500 having an aftermarket radio. It worked fine for bluetooth but offered no radio reception. Turns out the previous owner did not connect the antenna cable. This Metra adapter solved the connection differences between the aftermarket radio and factory antenna.

It's an antenna it's part of the package. Is it worth it, I would just say so. I don't feel put out by anything that Best buy reps put into their work and quality of performance of the products they sell. I would recommend.

I knew that an adapter was needed to attach the Jeep JK antenna to an aftermarket stereo. I bought a 'universal adapter'. It didn't work. With my dash torn apart, I googled and founf this specific part. I figured I'd have to order it online and drive around with no stereo for a week. Bestbuy.com said that my local store had it. I bought the deck there and didn't see the part in the accessories section. I didn't know that they keep that stuff in their install garage bay. Sure enough they had it. I installed it and it worked perfectly. Thanks Best Buy, you 'saved the day'.
