The craftsmanship of this product really isn’t that bad. The molding sent in the kit matched my already existing design in my Honda Accord. The big downside of this is the technology. when I purchased this the specialist at the store said if I buy a JVC radio and buy this kit I will retain all functions like a back up camera phone call, Buttons, etc. The only thing that works is the back up camera and it’s very dark and hard to see. There are settings to adjust brightness and other color variations but to no effect. I did purchase a separate unit to enable value controls from the same brand and that’s even glitchy as well.

I bought this and the adaptor to hook up my steering wheel controls. The steering wheel is able to control the volume and changing stations/songs but the phone part doesn’t work. I didn’t find any other complaints about this online. The Best Buy tech spoke to someone at Metra trying a bunch of different ways to get it to work (Metra stated that it should be able to work) but it doesn’t. It was a very expensive dash kit and even more to add on the steering controls. Not sure I would have bought it had I known. Also, The dash kit is a thin plastic that makes noise because of movement.

When my radio was first put in with the kit, there is a minor fit issue (very small, looks good still), but after 2 weeks my sideview camera became all I could see it unless I was in reverse. My steering controls went out as well (from another product), so I'm not sure if it's an install issue that can easily be fixed or it's malfunction with the product. I have an appt to troubleshoot with the auto techs, so later review would likely be more beneficial.

My stereo was installed to my satisfaction. I am very pleased the installation.

I am somewhat happy with item. Pros: Perfectly fits the new double dinn radio Allows the use of the backup and side camera right out of the box Closely resembles the 2016-17 models Cons: I can't see a way to adjust settings without steering wheel controls which you have to buy and also pay to install separately The camera views are darker than before the install which is hard to see during day time. Settings are very limited Lose gas mileage viewer/predictor Overall, I am just using this to fit my new radio into my car but the camera views being harder to see is a little concerning as this is a safety feature. I would like to have more setting options but that is secondary.
