Honestly, you can try to remove the OEM radios with modified coathangers. But if you don't want to struggle too much then buying these is the only alternative.

Does not work like it's supposed it. Ended up using other methods to take out the OEM stereo from my Ford Ranger.

Bought these to replace a set that I could not find in my toolboxfor removing stock Ford brand radios. This set is horrrible to use to remove a stock radio, lots of pressure while holding to the outside of the radio was the only way they would lock, while my old set was a simple push in and remove.

I bought this product to remove a factory stereo in a Mazda 626. While trying to remove stereo the tips broke off. I wish they were made out of a stronger material. Had to resort to a screwdriver to finish the job.

I did not think these were necessary!!! However, after reading about removing a Ford Radio from the '90s I decided to purchase this - I am glad I did! The best part is I still have them if I ever need to remove the HVAC control, or a radio from another Ford. Recommend highly!
