    Just the Right Collector's Edition

I had no qualms about pre-ordering the Aurora Edition as I have thoroughly enjoyed the previous Metro games and gladly support the new entry on PS4. The premiere items included in this edition are a very nice steelbook case, the season pass for yet unmentioned DLC, a code for a dynamic theme, a foldout mini poster of the game's creatures, and my favorite: a mini artbook showing the concept work for the game's environments and characters. These are all very nice for the price offered, since few special editions of games actually come with a season pass. Now for the game itself, and boy is It a beauty. This series is known for its atmospheric setting and style, and the new game absolutely nails it in every aspect. From the frigid nuclear winter of Moscow to the surprising but slightly out of place Caspian desert, the environments really immerse you in the game to the point that the only thing that could make it more immersive is to be in VR (just the thought of that possibility makes me excited). Unlike previous Metro games, this one features some more open environments that let you freely take on the story objectives along with a few side missions and collectibles along the way. This is a nice way to experience the game in a fresh way that allows you to really take in the atmosphere at your own leisure. Make no mistake though, this is a first-person shooter, but it's meant to be experienced as an adventure game where you take your time instead of rush through the level racking up kills. In fact, it's better that you avoid wasting ammo on killing enemies since scarcity is part of the gameplay loop. Crafting allows you to get around this but you still have to explore thoroughly to survive any combat encounters. Shooting is good enough, with a variety of different weapons to take out enemies silently or with a bang. It's a fantastic game for sure, but I did run into a couple of glitches where I got stuck in the ground while enemies mauled me to death. Thankfully a checkpoint reload allowed me to get unstuck and continue and it's likely this issue will be patched in the future. There's a lot to love in this game, mostly from the world to the characters to the general presentation of the atmosphere. You can tell the developers put their love into making the game when you see little details like an overheated kettle whistling over a fire because you took out the enemy who was tending to it, or the humorous reactions from Anna when you stand in front of her while she surveys the scene with her binoculars. It's the little extra things that make this game enjoyable, and that says a lot about its concept. Don't worry if you haven't played the previous games, as Exodus is a self-contained story that drives itself (literally) on the rails with the Aurora, the steam-powered locomotive for which this limited edition was named after. This game is the very definition of atmosphere, and if you are up for a post-apocalyptic world presented with a gritty Russian tone you'll definitely enjoy Metro Exodus.

Especially because Doom Eternal got delayed, Metro Exodus is a lock for me. GOTY 2019. Frankly, it's one of my top 3 favorite games on PS4, and one of my favorites ever. I'm a HUGE fan of the metro series so take this with a grain of salt but I seriously loved this game so much. I got the platinum trophy for the game, played it 3 times, and put over 100 hours into it easily over those 3 playthroughs. The gameplay is amazing, the graphics are incredible, the story and characters are brilliant as always, and it has the best atmosphere you will find in any video game, hands down. I absolutely love this game and can't wait to play more of the DLC chapters as they release, and inevitably replay the game on New Game Plus as well. It's just a very addictive game for me and that's super rare for me. I usually play a game once, and move on, but this game is one of the super rare games that I could hop into at any time and enjoy it, no matter how many times I've played it before.

Really enjoying the evolution from its previous linear shooter roots to a more open world/hub. Loving the exploration and weapon customization elements A focused enjoyable single player experience throughout. More importantly, none of that live service drivel we seem to be getting force fed in all our games these days. If you're a fan of the Metro series and enjoy a more open/exploratory shooter experience. Give this a game a much needed try.

Sometimes I like to play games as single player and they are getting harder and harder to find. This is a great game for a single player. The graphics are great on the PS4 Pro. The only thing I would recommend is playing the Metro Redux games or looking into the back story of the games. I started to play and was getting a little lost in the story. I found a used copy of Metro Redux and started playing it to get caught up. So in essence I found 3 single player games to play. I highly recommend for single players.

Love the Metro series. A lot of FPS don't have much of a coherent story but this entire series is really fun to play because the story ADDS to the experience. Instead of (most of) the action taking place underground this game added more open world elements and it takes place on the surface. At first I was skeptical about that but they did a really nice job with the world and enemy types. The Aurora Edition comes with some sweet stuff too and a cool looking Steelbook.

This is the 3rd installment of the Metro Last Light series, if you never played the previous games don't worry you can start off with this one as your 1st, it's a challenging game with limited resources, the creatures are scary and this game has me at the edge of my seat at times, it's a very good game in my opinion, I give it a 8 1/2 to 9 out of 10, I hope this works and enjoy the game.

If you played the previous Metro games you will like this game and it is semi open world. It is a hybrid of a linear game with open worls elements. If you like first person shooter with a unique look, you should like this game. It looks great since it is not all under graound like previous Metro games.

The game is amazing, it has nice atmosphere and great design overall. Nice weapon customization and the story is really good, this is probably the best Metro game in the series, i really love it. Many of the reviews that are with "0" are from people that are angry that the game is not on "Steam" and review "bomb" it on all kind of reviewing websites, don't trust them.

Metro: Exodus is basically like previous Metro games, except bigger and more expansive. This has some gameplay more geared toward stealth and more varied gameplay as well. If you like Metro games you'll enjoy this!

If you are a fan of the Metro series, I strongly recommend this game. While it does not offer much of the tunnel experience (at least not at first) found in the first two, it contains exciting exploration and combat in a desolate world. If you enjoy Fallout or similar games, this might fill that void.
