It's been a long wait for another 2D Metroid and this delivers on every front. It nails that Metroid atmosphere of isolation pairing with a great soundtrack. It feels like a brand new game and the addition of the counter introduced an awesome new mechanic that fits the game really well.

One of the best 3DS games I have played. Easy to get started and loads of play time. Love it !!!

This is a must own for 3DS gamers, I know the console is pretty much discontinued but this only means you get cheaper games so get them while you can!. Graphics are gorgeous and gameplay mechanics are spectacular you can't go weong with this game

I've heard a lot of good stuff about Metroid, and I bought a 3DS specifically to play Fire Emblem games. But I had heard a lot of good stuff about the Metroid series and people seemed pretty hot on this game, and it's been a ton of fun. The combat is more action-heavy than I was expecting, and it's been a pretty pleasant surprise in that regard. It's also got great atmosphere, it's been perfect to play on my commute to and from work.

Great Metroid game, Takes you back to the platform style of the originals. Highly recommended!

Metroid 2 for the Gameboy was not the best game and for me a step down from the original. Samus Returns for the 3DS takes what made Supper Metroid and the GBA games great and improved it tenfold. This is what I wanted from a modern Metroid game.

This is the first Metroid game i've played in years and it's a great return to the roots of this franchise. My only complaint is that it can get slightly repetitive and tedious in some spots early on, but I think that will go away as one plays further through the game. Other than that, its fast-paced and a nice touch of nostalgia. It's a great way to get reacquainted with the franchise while waiting for Metroid Prime on Switch!

A classic in the making. But it, play it and buy as a gift to others. you won't regret it.

First Metroid game on the go was fusion on GBA and this calls very familiar tones to it.

Metroid Samus Returns is an awesome throwback to the original Gameboy Exclusive Metroid II. Don't compare this to Super Metroid or the other iterations, this one is more user friendly and has greater functionality for Samus (aiming 360 degrees, etc.). I love this game!

It's kinda flawless, so I don't know what else to say to fit the 50 character minimum.

The resolute and stoic bounty huntress has begun her return that is true to form. The formula that worked so well is back along with some graphics updates and new counter mechanics with cinematic combat sequences. Solid buy. Something...something...sexy zero suit.

Metroid Samus Returns is a marvelous adventure game and brings Metroid back from the world of first-person shooters. The map is fun to explore and challenging like a puzzle trying to navigate its unique areas slaying alien creatures.

This is the first true 2D Metroid game since Zero Mission on the Gameboy Advance. That game itself was a remake of the original Metroid while this game is a remake of Metroid 2. Rather than stick to the exact specifications of that game, which is over 25 years old, the creators took a lot of liberties here to refine the experience for our modern sensibilities. Samus can now aim in 360 degrees and her movement is fast and fluid.

A classic series that brings back Samus. Graphics are great and a fun-filled game reminiscent of old school NES and SNES Metroid. If you enjoyed those games then you'll enjoy this one too! Even great for the new-to-the-series player as well. Great fun!!!

Metroid Samus Returns is a remake of Metroid II: The Return of Samus. It vastly improves on everything the original had to offer. With new mechanics and updated graphics, newcomers and veterans will love to explore what SR-388 has to offer them.

If you have a 3DS or 2DS and don't already have this game, get it and get it now! The remake of Metroid Samus Returns is everything we love about Metroid. I'm playing the heck out of this game in anticipation of Metroid Prime 4 for the Switch

I wish the collectors edition had a soundtrack for the super nes Metroid, but this games soundtrack wasn’t good enough to pay $10 extra, so I stuck with the standard copy.
