A 2D action-puzzle game tasking players to destroy alien creatures in an alien world. Beautiful animations, slick combat, and an inspired, eerie setting makes Samus' return a swan song for the 3DS.

This is an incredible remake of the second Metroid. Great graphics and the new fighting additions are huge for the series. I can only hope they continue with a Metroid game on Switch.

Metroid is back for those who missed it's original 2D goodness. The only problem I had with this game was I had to take breaks since my hands were cramping up from playing it too much.

Waited several years for a quality Metroid game to be made and am enjoying every minute of this game. If you're a fan of old-school Metroid games, then recommend picking this one up.

So cool Nintendo got into remaking this classic. Am2r did it. Nintendo did it better. I got addicted to this game quick. Play it in 3d. It is cooler that way. Another hit remake.

More enjoyable than most current generation 3d games with huge budgets. This is a must have for every serious Nintendo fan. In fact, I'd recommend buying a 3ds just for this game.

This the Metroid game we have been waiting for everyone. Upgrades come fast. Metroidvania at it’s finest. It is great and a nice game for anyone that has held onto their 3DS.

This is a great return to the classic 2d metroids of yesteryear. This is a game of classic platforming, exploration and challenging boss fights. Wonderful all the way around.

Finally we get another 2d metroid game! While the prime series has been great I have been so desperatly awaiting another 2d metroid. This game does not disappoint either!

I was about to sell my New 3DS XL to help pay for the Nintendo Switch... I think I will keep both. The 3D in this game gives it something that just pushes it above and beyond. I'm glad I bought this version instead of a 2D port to the Switch that I was planning on picking up instead. If you're a Metroid fan or new to the series, get it and then play the previous ones on the Virtual Console. Well worth it!

This remake was amazing! There is so much that was added, it really feels like a new Metroid game! If you were a fan of Super Metroid this game is a must buy!!

After a decade of no good Metroid news, this happens. It is an emotional time to be a Samus Aran fan with this and Metroid Prime 4 on the horizon. This game is everything a new Metroid game should be. The power-ups and exploration are intact from past 2-D iterations of the series, but the 360-degree aiming and melee counters make the combat feel fresh and never tiresome. Please buy this game.

Graphics, controls, story are impressive... one of my favorite games of the year!

The 3DS has had a long life for a portable system and it continues to provide awesome games!! Metroid: Samus Returns is no exception!! It's such a welcomed edition that helps Metroid starved fans while they wait for the net Metroid console installment. Really, play this game!!

Never played too many metroid games before, besides maybe a few minutes of Prime, but I had a blast playing this one! Now I want to try the others!

Did you enjoy Metroid 2? Then you’ll love this remaster. It’s a little hard if Your used to modern games, but it’s nothing you can’t get used to.

I played this for 10 minutes on a friends 3DS, and was hooked. I bought it the next day and can't wait for my backlog to catch up to this game.

It is a lesser known classic re-imagined to fit graphical standards of the 3DS. Fantastic game play improvement and familiar concepts. 10/10

Bought this for my son who has never heard of Metroid before. But once he started playing it, he loved it. It is now one of his favorite games.

Love this game. Not even done with it. It's challenging. The graphics are nice. It's got the feel of Prime but as an old school side scroller.
