I'd rather get these than put a credit card on my console because then it limits the amount of money I use.

I originally allowed my child to buy something on XBox with credit card and much to my suprise 3 months later I received 300.00 in charges for downloads that microsoft charged my card. I called microsoft and removed my credit card and we now only use microsoft gift cards that way when they use alloted monies they cannot buy anymore and I dont receive any suprise charges on credit cards.
