Digital is the way to go.

You can purchase MS Points through the console itself but you get reward points if you buy it from Best Buy. Simple choice, I think.

Great deal - can also be used on Windows Store App

I input the gift card number into my microsoft account and I was able to use the value towards both XBOX purchases and apps at the Windows store for my Win 8 phone and tablet.
