Yes this is a great Item for tracking your stats, I love it, even makes you aware that your sitting idle (no kidding) it vibrates to get you up and moving after a time period , love the fact that it is accurate tracking my heart rate while rowing , working out and just at rest, you will get hooked and try to do better after a week viewing your stats on the computer also great apps for more fitness planning. Yes the battery life is about two days but I always charge it up while I'm on the computer working or checking e-mail. I don't use it for bike riding as I have a Dashboard 100 Bicycle computer for stats will check that function out this spring. My main reason for purchasing the Micro band 2 was for tracking my heart rate while rowing, very easy to read while working out , @ my yearly check up The Micro Band 2 HR , Doctors reading were the same Really like it..

I bought the Band 2 after using a FitBit Flex for a few months. Bright display, terrific controls for Cortana and music (if you have Windows Phone) and accurate tracking are all positives. It's a little heavy, and needs to be charged daily, but I highly recommend it for those that want a great fitness unit with son smartphone features.

Sleep track function is very useful. Step and miles walked tracking appear to be accurate. Currently using with a Windows 8.1 phone which does not have the recent updates to allow all functions such as phone or text responses on the band. Sizing runs large. Measured for an exact medium, but clasp is the last setting for good fit.

I brought this band a few months ago from best buy and it has exceeded my expectations. I have tried another band previously but was not very happy with the display or performance. This band is light and looks stylist on my wrist. It connects to my phone and notifies me of all incoming email, calls and texts. Steps and heart rate monitor seems fairly accurate too. This does, however, needs to be charged every alternate day. Overall, very happy with the product.

This band is exactly what I was looking for. Syncs easily with android. Records heart rate instantly and sleep habits. Easily shows steps, exercise and alerts you when to get up and get moving.

This works as the perfect smart device for me. Fitbit was kind of neat for me. I tried an Apple watch. I was interested in the Band when I knew the Band 2 was due out. I waited for this. It did take me a few days to a week to get used to it completely on my arm. Now, it feels very comfortable. I use it with an iPhone. I would like for it to work with Microsoft's Cortana. But it does not yet do that, and may never. I can track steps and how far I walk. I have my heart rate monitor working well. The sleep tracker shows some great info. I get text messages, emails, messages of incoming phone calls, and other notifications....like when the Kings or Lakers start playing. I also get my Calendar notifications. With an Android or Windows phone, I would have been able to respond to texts with a preset response. Apple doesn't allow that. So I am not able to do this. The Microsoft App for IOS works well. it shows me good information. I most like to check out the sleep information. I need to walk more. I like wearing a real watch. That is another reason I preferred this over an apple watch. This battery is really very decent. The Apple watch battery wasn't very good at all. This could last me about two days. I try to charge it still every morning after I wake up while I read my morning emails until I get out of the shower. It charges fairly quickly. I am very happy with this. I would buy it again in a heartbeat.

I had the option to snag a Band 1 at a fraction of the price, but after speaking with colleagues who have tried both, I went with the Band 2 for comfort and reliability reasons. This device has met all my expectations to date. The first couple days took some adjusting to wearing it 24/7 as I'm not much for wearing wristbands or watches, but the convenience of having most everything (texts, emails, incoming calls) available nearly instantly makes it worth every penny. I am amazed at how well the tiny keyboard on the device works as I'm certain it's using some smart algorithms to get rid of the obvious "fat finger" issue with such a small screen. The workout and sleep tracking is extremely addictive. One of the coolest features is the ability to set an adjustable alarm clock. The band will monitor my sleep patterns and wake me up to 1/2 hour earlier than my alarm if it determines it would be more ideal based on my deep sleep cycles. I really like the fact that I can track my heart rate while working out and see the peaks/averages and calories burned based on activity types. For power consumption, I have the brightness setting on low and do not use the GPS feature, and this device can get me through almost 2 full days without a charge. I usually charge it when taking a shower and can go from low battery to 70-80% within my AM routine.

I searched high and low for not simply a tracker that does (tracks) all the standard metrics found on other popular units, but one that added more. Primarily purchased for my wife, the Microsoft Band 2 really fit the bill for her rigorous running and work out schedule. Runner's World also rated this to be the best tracker in this growing segment. As with all technology, it's probably already obsolete, but by the same token, if we continue to wait for the next best thing, we'll never acquire one. My wife is very happy with the Band 2 and her running group has quickly come on board based on not only the advanced functions it offers, but on her recommendation as well. I would rate it 5 stars, but the one day battery life brings it down to 4.

I got this as a replacement for my Microsoft band version 1 which I finally broke. It has all the same features plus some new ones like UV monitoring while you run, and has been redesigned to be more sleek looking and more comfortable. The charging connector has been moved to the clasp so you no longer have copper connectors in direct contact with your skin which is much more comfortable. The Bluetooth connection to my iPhone 6 is way more reliable and rarely loses connection to the phone which was a bit poor on the original version of the band. It has great notifications for calls, texts, emails, push alerts etc... The heart rate monitor is great for anyone serious about getting the most out of your workouts. The iPhone app and website dashboard have also been improved and give you great insights into your sleep and activity. I love this band and wouldn't consider any other activity tracker. My only issue is that I got the large size but have been loosing weight and now I wish I had gotten the medium size as its starting to get a little loose on my wrists so dfinately check which size you need before buying.

The tracker is good for workouts, walking, and sleep tracking . The steps are tracked by gps so I don't find it to be accurate, I can drive with it on and it will say how many steps I walked. Otherwise i like the heart rate monitor and stats for calories burned.

First off, let me say that this product is absolutely fabulous. I have not worn a watch for 18 years (although I used to have a Fitbit), and this doesn't feel like a watch. I keep the face down and the uv sensor pointed up and it is very comfortable. As far as features go, this can't be beat. With the GPS tracker built in, it is the most complete fitness band on the market. Plus you can upload workouts to it! It would be nice to have it enhance some of the features, like having multiple alarms or multiple workouts, but overall, it is comfortable, accurate and easy to use.

I pre-ordered it as soon as it was released and i have used it for several days. It is very good except it can not support Chinese. The normal function is OK. But if the notifications contain Chinese words it can't show up. Another question is that the battery can stand as long as official site says 48 hours. Yesterday I used it in the morning biking 40mins and in the evening used it running 40mins. It ran out of battery before I got home though in the morning it was fully charged.

This tracker gives an amazing amount of detailed information. It's a lot more than a step tracker. Not only do you get heartbeat and very detailed sleep information, you also get excellent smart watch features including call notifications, text messages, etc. The only downside to all of this information is that the battery doesn't last long and it's a bit bulky. I found it to be too bulky for me to wear but my husband loves his.

It would be nice to be able to challenge others to fitness wars but I don't think this app has that functionality.

Since I am a fan of Microsoft's products and I didn't care about doing challenges via a fitbit I decided to try the MS Band 2. I am not a runner, I mainly use the band 2 for step tracking, mild workouts and monitoring my heart rate. It does a good job at all those things. If you are a runner it will track you via GPS and give you a detailed report of your run on the MS Health app. If you start a run and only walk, you can still use the GPS run tracker. The band 2 works with the MS Health app which is available on Windows Phone, Android and iPhone. I have used it on both WP and Android and it works great on both. If you use the default applications for texting and email, both will show up on the band as well. I use the texting feature and it works great if I am in a meeting and want to see who sent me a text without taking out my phone. You can also reply from the band 2 and its not that hard to tap type on the tiny little keyboard.

I did a lot of research on fitness bands and this was s the one. Packed full of sensors it provides loads of data. I like how you can customize and arrange the tiles to suit your preference. Very easy to read display. The style grows on your u and actually look pretty good, especially compared to a lot to f other bands on the market. Works OK with an iPhone, but they have already provided one update at added new features and with Cortana now being available for the iPhone I expect a whole lot more over the next few months.

My experience with the purchase and set up was easy. The watch has an included GPS so i don't need to have the phone with me as i walk or run. The fit was perfect, it's comfortable, and has the ability to handle multiple apps. The sad thing is the band has a defect that caused it to rip about .75" from the display. Due to that and some watched had a battery drain issue, the watch is no longer m made. Those of us who have then hope for am improved model after the Surface Phone is launched.

I pre-ordered the Band 2 and was quite excited to get my hands on it. After owning v1, I was expecting a knockout with the changes I had read about....unfortunately they didn't address the biggest issue, it's just not comfortable. The good: 1. New higher resolution OLED display. The old LCD would drain the battery in watch mode and didn't blend well with the device. The new one is larger, brighter, and much more vivid! (and slightly curved). 2. Sleep tracking and silent alarm, the Band 2 will "try" to wake you up at the optimal time in your sleep pattern. 3. Gorilla Glass on the Display. A little protection against scratches is much appreciated especially after how scratch prone v1 was. 4. Better charger. The v1 charger was hard to get connected at times and got dirty from sweat, etc. Beyond that, to me, not much has changed. 1. It was still "iffy" on consistently showing notifications. 2. My step tracking varied wildly from day to day. 3. Additional App selection is limited. 4. One of the coolest features, the Smart Alarm, didn't seem to work consistently either. The big ding against it was the same as the v1, it was just too dang uncomfortable. Even with the new "more flexible" strap, it gave me wrist pain daily. It got to the point that I decided to return it. It's a great concept and they've improved it dramatically. I hope they continue to refine it, but I think I'm going to sit this generation out. If it is comfortable for you, then it's a great device with a few flaws. Otherwise, you may want to steer clear.

Microsoft Band 2: Best Fitness tracker

It's simple, the Microsoft Band 2 improves on nearly all aspects of the original Band. It's very comfortable, the GPS does not require a phone to track your running route, you can send/receive texts, get email alerts, supports Smart Alarms which is amazing when you actually use it, and does everything you would expect. The only thing it doesn't support is media playback controls, which isn't a big deal to me personally, but still worth mentioning. It tracks my heart rate better than any other fitness tracker I've used, and I've used the FitBit Surge yet I still prefer the Band 2 over it. Definitely worth every penny with the guided workouts. It REALLY helps when you're not too sure what you should be working out or how to accomplish your goals. The guided workouts are workouts that you can preview and set to your band so when you start them, your Band tells you what workout you should be doing and for how long. It's a great personal trainer and I use it every other day. It's a huge motivator.

I have gone through 2 Band 1 where the unit would stop syncing within 4-6 months with the physical cable but the Band 2 does not have the same type of material and connection method. This design seems to be holding up much better than the Band 1 ever did! I have a rather large wrist, the Large Band 2 is actually a little bit larger then the Large Band 1 model and so now I can adjust it to fit better when I need to have the band further up my wrist while working. The rubber material does get scuffed but you almost have to shine a lite on it to see the scuffs. The metal clasp is actually showing a little bit of wear because it rubs on the desk all day at work, but so far, I have been much more happy with this model then the previous one!
