Very nice bonus to have received with my copy of Gears of War 4. Much better quality than expected.

Let me start by saying I received these as a freebie but will be reviewing them from the perspective of someone who would have spent the full price to acquire them. First, the coaster is great. Exactly what you would expect from a coaster... it keeps my tabletops dry. My major issue is the mug. When opening the box and reading instructions, it specifically states something along the lines of "don't microwave this mug". It's a mug... I was under the impression I could make some hot tea by nuking some water in the micro. No biggie though! I'll just use it for coffee. Then it states "should not be used with hot drinks". Well... this is merely a mug by its physical presence. I would have been quite irritated had I spent actual money on this, especially the retail price. For those considering the purchase... I would suggest looking away and purchasing something elsewhere that actually allows you to use it for coffee or hot tea. If you want it for your collection, or plan on using it for cold things like I will have to do, then go for it. I still question the price, though.
