I bought this item because I got tired of buying AA batteries all the time. This cable charges very quickly while at the same time allowing you to keep playing. It also allows for controller updates and the use of your Xbox remote with a non Bluetooth Windows 10 PC. I recently started streaming games from my Xbox One in the living room all the way to my PC in my bedroom but the controller would lose the connection to the Xbox frequently due to the distance. This allows me to game on my PC without having to worry about connection issues. I'm an extremely satisfied customer and would recommend this product to everyone.

Works great, recharges quickly, and way better than having to replace batteries regularly. The recharge cord is very long, in case you get into a marathon gaming session. But honestly, this doesn't seem to be a serious issue, have never had the charge die out during any session. For the record, have also tried the off-brand version and it didn't charge as well and the micro usb didn't fit as nicely into the controller as this official kit does.

I got sick of using rechargeable batteries in my controller and bought this. I love the fact that I can charge the battery pack while I play. I just wish the cord was a couple of feet longer because I have a 50 inch screen and like to sit back farther from it.

I love the play and charge kits because I can play for a whIle and then just plug it in. It also works in a computer with Windows. I used it on a game in Windows 10 and it worked great. Definitely a good thing to buy if you play a lot on your xbox one.

My old play and charge kit battery wore out and wouldn't hold a charge without being plugged in. So i bought a new one, and thank God it wasn't my controller that was messed up. It was just my old battery. So this one works perfectly, holds a charge for a long time. like probably as long as normal non rechargeable batteries. Except when they are running low, it'll give you the battery is running low warning. So you just plug in the cable that the play and charge kit comes with, (which is a nice long length btw), and charge it. And yes you can charge it even when the xbox one is off. It's a great alternative to buying a ton of batteries. It's kinda like you pay for all the batteries at one time, and it is probably a little cheaper in the long run. Great product, and it is made by Microsoft. Not a third party, so you know the maker of the xbox one approves. A+++

I was less than overwhelmed by the Xbox 360 battery packs, so i was a little hesitant to buy this one. This rechargeable battery pack has lasted three or four times as long as the the old model and charges much faster. I have not used a AA in weeks.

These are Lithium Ion (Li-Ion) batteries not the older Nickel Cadmium (NiCd) like the Xbox 360's. So they hold a charge better, longer usability and should last longer over their lifetime as well. They take a while to charge but hold out for a few weeks of normal use or a solid week of heavy gaming. You could spend the money on AA rechargeables and charger (Eneloops are great) but they will not allow you to plug in and play while charging. I was also going to go this route since I had the batteries already but the cable sold me on the Play and a charge kit. Especially when you are in the middle of a game and the battery gives out. Instead of hunting new batteries you just plug in the cable (8ft) and keep on gaming. I've had terrible luck with the Xbox 360's battery packs so I hope Microsoft has fixed the issue with the switch to Li-Ion. Dec 31st...Happy Birthday to me!

The battery seems to last several days of playing and charging is pretty quick. The 10 ft cable is a micro usb to USB that can be plugged into the side of your Xbox while you play. I liked it enough that I bought another one for my second controller.

This is definitely worth the price. You pay more up front, but say goodbye to always swapping out AA batteries. I've had my xbox one for about a month and i have yet to even recharge it once. fits in the controller smoothly. a must have in my opinion.

This rechargeable battery holds a long charge and doesn't take too long to charge. The 8ft cord is nice and you can charge from any wall socket with a USB to 110V AC plug. This works in the normal and Elite Xbox one controllers.

What you see is what you get with this one. It's a standard rechargeable battery for the Xbox controller. It does the trick and the charger enables you to play while the battery is charging. This is a must have for any gamer.

The plug and play battery already has a significantly longer lasting battery compared to its rechargeable competitors in my opinion. And to have the ability to continue play while plugging in the controller is brilliant.

Saved me countless times being in a huge firefight and battery was running low... Just plug it in and boom still in the action and charges while playing. Huge save from buying batteries ... never again just plug and charge...

Like using these a lot more than replacing AA batteries all the time, really convenient to charge and go or charge while playing if necessary. Been loving using them in controllers since the early days of the 360.

I love this set up. I like that I do not have to buy batteries all the time. Also I never have to worry about my controller turning off on me. If the battery gets low. Just plug in the charge cable. And the cable is plenty long enough so you do have to be right under your TV to play. That's one reason why I prefer this setup over the charging docks. Uninterrupted game play.

So you know what your looking at- this is the microsoft made battery charger for XB1 - yes, it is the most expensive, but you get what you pay for with these types of items. I went through 2 cheap chinese ebay knocks of the same "style" and the connections always felt flimsy, and their battery life didn't last anywhere near what the battery that Best Buy offers here for sale. This is one of the more important parts of your system (your controller!) - so if having the best, longer lasting, and more quality made than the knockoffs that are half the price. I would certainly recommend this for any gamer, or it would be a great gift for a Birthday, Christmas, Yamaka, or anything else! I would recommend this for anyone to buy.

I wish Xbox one came with this battery pack but since it doesn't I bought it. I have bought the controls that come with it to save money. The battery life you get with these is amazing. Definitely a most buy!

I had purchased rechargeable batteries for my control from eBay. It was some random brand and for both batteries and cable was about 10$. Too good to be true? It was. The batteries were garbage. Being that I only have one control, I looked into the batteries BestBuy sold and found this one. I looked at the ratings and thought, "well this can't be worse then the junk I bought on eBay". My God was I not expecting this battery to be so good. I haven't really timed it, but I play roughly about 8 hours and I charge it once a month. That's it. You need a rechargeable battery for your control? Look no further. Buy this one. Close your other tabs. Stop comparing the other products. Buy this one. Nuff said.

Works well - lasts several days playing a couple hours per day. Twice the price of the competition but was the only lithium ion of the pack. Hopefully it lasts twice as long. Supplied charging cord is long enough to use and be a good distance from tv - charges quick from x1 or using wall adapter with usb interface.

Yay no more having to buy extra batteries; Holds charge for a while even when I am gone for months at a time. Charges from Xbox so that's convenient however you can charge from an outlet as well.
