Did not even work, I had it on the charger for several hours and it did nothing. Also the battery was hard to come out of the controller. When I finally got it out the battery broke. Waste of money!

I bought 2 kits, for both kids controllers, neither cable fit....I would give a 5 star, but considering this ad is misleading,be lucky to get 1..It says for Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S,so why doesnt it fit my "S" series controller? USB-C doesnt mean anything to me when the controller doesnt say what fits it..Should be noted as the controller plugs may have changed. Not an exciting present when they dont work.
We're sorry that this rechargeable battery didn't live up to expectations. It is designed to work with Xbox Series X/S controllers, however it sounds like you may have a controller that came with Xbox One S. If that's the case, the Xbox One controller uses a micro-USB cable instead of USB-C. We recommend using the Play & Charge Kit for Xbox One instead. Grabbed the 2025 black version for $24.99.
Pros
• 100% reliable: Charges to full in ~3 hours via USB-C, delivers honest 30–35 hours per charge (CoD, Apex, Forza).
• Fits perfectly in Elite 2, Instinct Pro, and stock Series controllers. No wobble.
• Play-and-charge works flawlessly; keep playing while it’s plugged in, no cutoff.
• LED on the battery itself turns green when full. Simple.
Cons
• Literally none at this price. Third-party ones die in a year; this one still shows 100% capacity after 9 months of daily use.
Bottom line: The only battery you should ever buy for Xbox controllers in 2025. Cheap, official, and just works. Toss your AAs in the trash.

I bought two at the same time. One is great, works well. The other won't hold a charge but it took me a couple weeks to figure out which battery was bad. Outside return window.

The Microsoft Rechargeable Battery + USB-C Cable for Xbox Series X and Series S offers a convenient and eco-friendly alternative to disposable batteries. The inclusion of a USB-C cable simplifies recharging, ensuring uninterrupted gaming sessions. The battery's performance is reliable, providing a commendable lifespan on a single charge. However, the initial investment might be a consideration for budget-conscious gamers. Overall, it's a worthwhile accessory for Xbox enthusiasts seeking a sustainable and hassle-free power solution.

This worked good for my Scuf Instinct pro. A lot of other 3rd party batteries would not fit the controller due to the design of the battery cover and compartment. This one works perfectly. This battery usually lasts pretty long too.

Definitely a must buy, the setup was very simple no instructions needed, you just click it in where the batteries would go on back of controller, and you can charge it with usb c which is very convenient since they’re so common, and it can be charged while in the controller and while ur playing. In my opinion this was well worth the money and now I don’t have to deal with replacing batteries and buying new ones all the time.

If you don't like swapping batteries or wires this is definitely the product you want. The Battery stays charged all day and I can charge it at night when I'm asleep and then wake up and be wireless again. It is super easy to put in and take out the battery and the charging cable is super long so if it does die in the middle of a game and you're a couch potato the cord can reach you, just plug in and keep playing. 100% recommend.

Pretty much a need if you don’t want to be messing around with batteries every few days! Definitely worth the $25. Battery life is excellent & a pretty long cord just in case you want to play while charging.
