Overall very good. Excel can be a bit slow at times. Great screen. Battery life is average unless you’re using the screen as a standalone tablet, then the battery life is below average.

1st Surface Book had problems turning on after a few days. The staff at Best Buy were great, getting a replacement shipped priority. It has worked flawlessly, very fast , beautiful display, a very solid machine.

great starts quickly and is everything and more than you would expect from a laptop at this price point. Don't do enough on it to put it to a real test Much more than I needed but i really love the look and feel.

Great product. Sometimes gets confused when detaching from the keyboard. Overall good product. Buy a case or cover to protect it from dents and scratches.

I bought this as my go to travel productivity/mini gaming on the go laptop. I wanted a slim factor with a dedicated GPU. I wanted to do some art projects and a super multimedia machine that I can take anywhere. I have a dedicated gaming machine and a gaming laptop which is VERY large. But, I wanted to slim down and only game when I was flying or staying over in a quick Motel or just something that will be upgrade proof for a few years. This checked all my boxes and I can also throw in a mini slim ssd for 256g more very easily. I have enjoyed it since I purchased it and I got the pen and docking stating also which if you need it I would get for better productivity. You wont regret purchasing this baby.

Able to leave cords at home while out and about. Really easy to set up. Just don’t push the screen back too far. And be careful not to hit the on and off button when attaching the screen back on.

Incredible.This thing eats VR and Adobe programs. Gaming is great and the screen is amazing and rich.(tho reflective) If you want a power user experience get this. i want go back to that "other brand" after this.

I'm a college student studying interior architecture and interior design and I needed a new laptop that was fast and could handle multiple running programs like AutoCAD, Revit, Photoshop and Illustrator. This Laptop is perfect for design majors and design artists or artists in general. I also paint and illustrate traditionally and digitally and transferring files via flash drive is quick. A con however, is that there are only 2 USB ports. I need to plug in a usb for my mouse but I also use a flash drive and hard drive. Only 2 ports vs 4 on my previous laptop is inconvenient but it doesn't take away from the usability that much overall.

Too old to buy new now at this point with the Surface 3 out, but find one used and it will be a top end performer for the price you pay if you get it at $600-$800 for its unique design and capabilities.

Got 4 for my cabinet shop. Cabinet Vision installed - pretty heavy soft. My sales and engineers can work on field and at home. Just don't know better solution than this machine.

I have wanted a Surface Book for years. I love my surface tablet, but this laptop takes it to the next level. More power than you could ask for with the best battery life around.

Great laptop for creators. I'm an Architecture student and the Surface Book2 works with revit and autocad flawlessly. The surface pen and laptop mode are great for sketching and taking notes.

This is probably the best windows computer you could buy. If you are a serious power user this is the best computer. If you are a student that is a power user it will work great

Man what a beast this is. Well for the price you pay for it is the least of what you can expect. Everything run very smooth and works well. Now you add the Pen and Dial and it just completes it.

Great Laptop, latest and greatest Intel proc, Samsung SSD, incredible display, and enough horsepower to run e-sport games and most Triple-A titles. Only thing keeping it from 5 star is the proprietary dock connector and no Thunderbolt support.

Gaming is fantastic Video and photo editing is fast. The tablet mode lets me draw. Speakers are awesome. Battery is great. Just a bit heavy. Fast charge. No thunderbolt 3 tho

Feels like I'm holding and typing on the best of the best. Love that it transforms from a laptop to a tablet in a split second. Amazing screen and colors, amazing camera, too!
