First new laptop in 7 years. A lot of changes, but getting used to all the new features. Like the fact that it is so quick in starting up and getting around from app to app, site to site. Disconnecting the screen to use as a tablet is a great feature. (Although be aware that it does have a shorter time limit on the power than a regular tablet.)

For a Microsoft Product it is performing very well. Definitely has the versatility but like Apple might be a little overpriced.

I use for work and personal needs. Finally found a product that I can take with me everyday and produce while traveling. I also have iPad Pro. iPad is still largely a consumption device. Surface Book is a true portable production device. Have not been able to put the Surface Book down since I got a month ago. Pricey...yes....but sometimes there is a reason that more expensive equals better....

The Surface Book is an amazingly fast computer. There is almost no lag time for Adobe Lightroom or Photoshop to open, very unlike my previous laptop. You can't beat the digital pen for photo editing. It works so much better than a mouse, it's easier to get exactly what you want. The only thing I don't like about the Surface Book is the screen size is too small for photo editing.

Hard to beat Microsoft's first outing into the full fledged laptop market. I've owned Nacbooks and can proudly say I'm glad to have purchased a Surface Book.

I needed a new laptop and wanted one that had a tablet option. I thought I wanted to purchase the Lenovo Yoga, but when I looked at it in the store, I decided I wanted a 2 in 1 that had a detachable tablet instead. The sales person that helped me was very knowledgeable and helped me make the decision to go with the Surface Book. It was a bit more expensive than I hoped, but so far, I am happy with it. Getting used to Windows 10.0 has been my biggest hurdle!

I had to replace my 15 inch old macbook pro 2011 and was debating between HP spectre 360 4k 15 inch and lenovo yoga 910 4k 14 inch , macbook pro with touch bar and surface book. Finally went for surface book because I think macs are overpriced and also price increase with touch bar. Got a good deal for thanksgiving on surface book and went for it. Little pricier than lenovo and spectre but i like the tablet and pen aspect of surface book so went for it. Touch screen made a lot of difference for me when compared to mac. Startup speeds are good. The only reason I went for mac before was windows gets slower with time but mac did not do it for me. I have been using it for a month now with all possible apps that i use and so far its going great. People advised me against spectre because its HP and i had read reviews about laptop getting hot. Wanted to go for lenovo but with the same price I could get detachable surface book which is true 2 in 1 rather than bending keyboard back words which exposes keyboard on back and can cause key presses when used in tablet mode. 4 stars are because the price could be little cheaper . Had to do little tweaking for slow wireless ( i gues that was windows glitch) http://www.windowscentral.com/surface-pro-4-slow-wi-fi-fix (this fix worked for me)

I have had 3 different surface products and I have loved them all. My biggest attraction to computer is its ability to detach the screen and being able to write my notes on OneNote and not have to carry around big spirals all the time. I am a Mechanical Engineering student at UNM and having the dedicated graphics is great for running any design software I need.

I read a lot of reviews about this laptop, it is an expensive product. However, it is worth every penny. I have had zero problems with it. I love it. Fast. Good battery life. I love the surface pen. I like being able to detach the screen and use it separately or reverse it on the keyboard. I have had several businesses. I have spent literally millions of dollars on IT stuff, mostly computers and servers. This is the best, by far computer I have ever used.

This is one of the more expensive laptops on the market, and for the life of me, I don't understand why, but it's a very good product and I expect many years of use out of it.

I have been needing a new laptop for a very long time. The one I had before was acer and it was running on windows vista. I hated everything about the thing. So when I came in for a new one I had done some research but I really didn't know what I wanted. The worker that was there was extremely helpful. I told her what I wanted to be able to do with the computer and she showed me all of the options available. One of my main things was that I wanted a touch screen. Originally I was going to get a mac, but they don't have touch screens and they're not flexible. The next I was considering was the lenovo yoga, but the issue was that when it flips backwards the keyboard is exposed. So she showed me this one and when she showed me that the screen is detatchable to use it as a tablet (or to flip it around and keep the keyboard attached since most of the battery power is in the keyboard) I was totally sold. I've had this computer for about two months and I am very happy with it. Videos are amazing on it and I have very little issues with it being slow... I realize it's because it's new, but this is the fastest computer I've ever used. And I love that it allows some personalization with the keyboard choices. I will definitely be getting one of the soft keyboards for travel to avoid damaging the regular one. And I love the Kate Spade zip cases they have for it. Overall I am extremely happy with this computer. I'm definitely glad I chose this over any other ones. I wouldn't switch, ever. Definitely recommend this laptop. It's expensive, but in the long run it will be so much better.

Very nice. Meets my needs for education purposes. Screen can be a pain to take off. Has to have power to tablet part to remove even you just want to turn it around. Gets frustrating.
