Bought this for my wife (I transitioned to Apple several years ago). I was impressed as she was with it's quality. I had envisioned a cheap feeling unit but it's certainly is not.

If you are looking for an ultrabook that is incredibly well built, just stop here. If you want a Windows laptop but also want tablet functionality forget the other options with flip around keyboards. Microsoft got this product right. With the exception of the lack of ports on the tablet when not docked, this laptop is an amazing piece of engineering and design. It gives you the best experience of Windows 10.

I really love this computer. I'm able to draw on it instead of carrying a sketchbook everywhere, it's fast, and so much better than Dell. I had 2 Dell computers in 1 year because there was always some issue with them and customer service for Dell is practically nonexistent... Haven't had any issues with this computer since I got it.

I love my new surface. It is so easy to use and lightweight!!! Love it more than my iPad.

Nice but a bit complicated for me. I like the detatchable tab, pen is in a bit awkward spot on the comp. i dropped it and broke it. But very nice sleek, flashy laptop.

I have a Surface Pro 3 which I love.. I wanted something with a little faster processing so I researched and decided on the i5-256 Surface Book. I have had it for a month and am loving it. I have done several software updates to the Microsoft Creators Dev, version and everything is perfect so far. I recommend this for power users who want flexibility of a tablet and laptop.

So far I'm very impressed with the quality and performance. Everything works flawlessly. Very fast startups with the solid state drive. Over all a great machine.

When the screen separates from the keyboard, you get an ultra lightweight computer which is what I wanted. However, I have never been able to get more than 60 mins with the screen disconnected. The screen also get very hot so be careful. While I do like the unit, the onscreen keyboard is quirky and sometimes takes a long time to react. This is expensive for what you currently get.

Love how the Microsoft surface book is so easy to use and how fast it is.

This is a gift for my friends, he likes it a lot. The only flaw is that the hinge is not as stable as I expected

I like the form factor, and weight. I purchased this for a work/business machine and it is ideal for travel. It has a great keyboard and screen resolution; 4k is beautiful! The screen aspect ratio is 3:2 which is far better for a business related machine than 16:9. Not as friendly for watching widescreen movies but I don't use it for that and it would still do nicely in a pinch when traveling. I haven't used the detachable screen as much as I thought I might but it is handy and may become more of a benefit once I start using the machine for making presentations. It is lightening fast , the SSD loads almost instantly. The drawbacks are that this is a first generation machine, which I generally don't buy and this machine reminds me of why. In short, it is still buggy but Microsoft continually comes out with updates (seemingly daily) to fix one thing or another. I doubt that the second gen will come out any time soon so I don't regret the purchase at this time. Lastly, if you get this, I highly recommend purchasing the dock as well.

This laptop has so many great features for note taking and has amazing work capabilities. Definitely would recommend for college students.

The Surface Book does everything I need in a portable computer. It goes with me when I'm traveling and keeps me connected. The speed is more than adequate for all my applications. I've actually used the camera more than I thought I would. Pictures are excellent quality. I would recommend the Surface Book to anyone who needs speed and power in a portable laptop or tablet.

I love my surface book pro, it feels amazing, it looks amazing, it is really fast. This may not be i7 but i5 is very darn good. It is so simple to use, its super smart, sleek and very convenient for multiple uses. It's not very light but he'll you get two batteries that supports it. Unlike the apple the battery's do not die quickly. You will not be disappointed.

In my opinion, this laptop is for anybody. I would highly recommend it! It will do whatever you wanta do. I.e. Music, photo / video editing, games...

It was fast ang able to play bioshock infinite at high settings but returned due to a dead alt key backlight.

This laptop is very light weight and easy to work. I really love it.
