It shuts down numerous times while I am working on it. The battery does not last and when charging, the device becomes extremely hot. I can not get in touch with anyone at Microsoft. I spent 2 hours trying to reach them via chat and phone. I was left on hold for extreme amounts of time an than disconnected. When I try service on line, it takes me through a loop of downloading the tool kit, which I have done several times. Next step is consumer affairs. I do not recommend this product, there is no support.

Overheated

Contacted Microsoft and overheated while trying to troubleshoot and reboot the device. They said it definitely needed to be returned due to this defect. Hopefully they will resolve this issue on the 13.5 tablet as the larger Surface did not have this problem.
