Was told it would work on a Mac, yes I know it says surface, but they didn't have any Apple gigabit network adapters. Also, it appears to be a standard USB connection but it didn't fully plug into my Mac or PC USB connections...it felt like something was blocking the USB from fully plugging in.

I was a little disappointed to find out that the Surface 3 didn't have an ethernet port built in, but this adapter works perfectly. No problems installing or using, its just a little unsightly to have it dangling out of the computer.

When the Wi-Fi connection is weak, and you want to be directly connected to the internet, this device is amazing. I'm really glad there is an adapter like this for the Surface Pro, which has no Ethernet ports.

This cable met our needs. My wife travels a lot and some locations do not have sufficient wireless. This cable allowed her to plug in a network cable and get online.

It is frustrating being just outside the range of wifi. That is where this adapter comes in handy since there is no direct Ethernet port on the SP3.

Perfect size to keep on hand for travel - not everyone is wireless...

It was needed for college, you would think it would have come wh the computer.

This adapter is just one more thing I found necessary for the way I use my surface.

I bought this for my Dell Venue and it works great. Plug and play, the drivers automatically downloaded. Yes it works well with the Surface because of the angled plug, but it can work in other devices. I bought this on sale. Great purchase!

I had purchased a generic adapter for my Surface Pro 3, that included extra USB ports - it never worked right. I then purchased this adapter and it has performed flawlessly. Since I bought it, it has traveled globally with me, been bounced around in my backpack in the overhead bin of airplanes, and used constantly every day and it has not missed a beat. My only complaint is that it is too short - if it was several inches longer, it would be perfect, but don't let that discourage you. It is well worth the money to get this OEM adapter compared to generic alternatives that will fail far too rapidly.

Lightweight and perfect if you need Ethernet for your surface pro. Well made and the connector fits flush against the surface. Aftermarket USB to Ethernet adapters do not since the surface as an angled edge.
