Works as expected but costs too much
Microsoft is getting into the game of designing connectors that don't fit right with anything else (e.g.. an angled plug), and then over-charging their customers for the accessories that use these connectors. But... if you have a Surface Pro 3 and need an Ethernet adapter, this is the one to buy.

Make sure your ethernet adapter is 3.0
Had to buy this adapter because the newer ultrabooks are so thin that there is room anymore for an ethernet port. I decided by the microsoft because I had an USB 3.0 port available and a Cat-6 ethernet cable, so I could obtain higher data transfer rates.
