I use them when I’m in the office for teams meetings. The noise cancellation blocks the voices in the office next door as well as masks my mouse and keyboard clicks. Overall satisfied.

They work with everything I need them to. Pass through sound is cool, but isn’t clear. You can tell someone is trying to get your attention, but not exactly what they’re saying. When using them as noise cancellation for meetings or mowing, A+!

Noise canceling was great, app was solid, but the sound quality wasn't to my liking so I returned it. Overall a great set of headphones, but just not for me. They look pretty though.

The best design and look but the clamp force does hurt after 2 hours of use. The noise cancelling is good and so is sound quality.

Coming from someone who doesn’t regularly use headphones and owning a basic pair, these are amazing. It does just what it says it does. Noise cancellation, easy adjustments, easy to work overall.

    My Go-To Work Headphones!

I was excited to receive these headphones as the specifications checked a lot of boxes for me. As I write this, my work is operating under Covid-19 precautions, with all of my meetings online while I (as an essential worker) am still on site. I was getting complaints from other meeting participants when I relied on my webcam mic as it would pick up sound from drop-in co-workers and other background noise. Since I have switched to the Microsoft Surface headphones, I get no such complaints and now I can concentrate much better on the meeting content as almost all background noise is blocked out by the over-the-ear cups and the active noise cancelling. The headphones come in a nice travel pack that can accommodate all the accessories comfortably, such as charging cable and 3.5mm audio cable. Pairing them is very easy and you can also download an app to manage them and check for updates. I have mine paired with my laptop, desktop and iPhone. From what I can tell, the headphones will allow connection to two devices at the same time. When you turn on the headphones, they announce battery life left and what devices they are connected to which is very helpful. The battery life appears excellent – I use mine for meetings several times a day and have never run the battery (20 hours at full charge) down past 10 hours left – I charge mine up overnight once a week. I also use them for music an hour or two a day and this doesn’t drain the battery too bad either. The headphones are comfortable and I don’t mind wearing them for hours at a time although I like to have a break from them now and again through my working day. The sound quality in meetings is excellent. The hidden microphone also works well to capture just my voice and cut out most other superfluous sounds. No one has complained since I shifted to these headphones (and I’m wearing a mask almost all the time at my work) whereas before, I would get complaints relying on the webcam mic. Music quality is also very good on these headphones and if you don’t like the default equalizer settings, you can use the downloaded app to configure the graphic equalizer just the way you want. I have rocked out on my headphones quite a bit since I got them and really enjoy the sound details I had not noticed previously. I did tweak the bass a bit as it was a bit lacking out of the box. The Bluetooth range is excellent and I can wander away from my broadcasting desktop computer and still hear the music clearly, with no drop-outs in a closed server room some distance away. The noise cancelling has different gradients you can control with a dial on the left headphone and this works very well. There are a spectrum of cancelling settings (13 levels apparently) to suit your taste, from Off to High, with beeps to let you know as you move through the range. There is even a setting to amplify outside sound which would be useful for being aware of traffic (biking, walking etc.) You can control whether the headphones use aptX audio (higher quality audio) in the app, as well as toggle on Microsoft Office 365 integration. I have not tried this yet but it would be useful for dictating email or having new email read back to you while you work elsewhere. The gesture controls are intuitive and work as expected – tap either headphone (preferably close to the center) once to pause/play, two taps to skip forward tracks or answer/end calls and three taps to skip back tracks. Touching and holding lets you activate your device’s digital assistant or decline an incoming call. They all work well and I’ve had no problems using them since day one. My headphones shipped with the latest firmware so I have not needed to run a firmware update yet but it is good to see that as an option on these headphones. Microsoft seem to recommend doing it via the charging wire as over-the-air looks like it could take many hours, something to keep in mind if an update does need to happen in the future. I had been on the lookout for a nice pair of work headphones that would deliver the goods for my many online meetings as well as give me a nice retreat with music and these Surface Headphones 2 have definitely provided this. I would definitely recommend them for others like me who need them for professional purposes but they are great for home and leisure use as well. Please don't buy Microsoft surface headphones 2. They are very cheap and less durable. The headband(which is the actual spine) got broken just after 4 months of warranty period is over(Serial No : 001649102055). I am very disappointed with the quality of hardware they are produced. I recommend don't buy Microsoft hardware products and waste your valuable money

GREAT headphones after taking time to figure out the wires and setting up The delay when using Bluetooth on my Windows 10 computer is very noticeable and I also had popping sounds when using them via Bluetooth. Read your motherboard manual and figure out where you are supposed to plug in the audio jack (included). You may have to mess around with the audio settings for a bit before you are comfortable with the sound.

I recently received a pair of the new Surface Headphones 2 and have really enjoyed them. These have impressed me with their battery life, they have great controls, comfort and fit are excellent, and their overall performance is top notch. I received the matte black finish and absolutely love it. These headphones tell you the expected battery life every time you turn them on which is great in my opinion. That expected battery life is pretty impressive and in line with other top options from Bose and Sony. Their claims of 20hr have been accurate in my experience even with the noise cancellation cranked up to maximum. The thick headphone pads are not only great for comfort but aid in the noise cancellation providing great isolation even without noise cancellation active. Controls for music and phone calls are super easy with these headphones. They have large touch sensitive areas in the center of the cup that use your typical single/double/triple tap type of inputs and each side has a knob around the exterior, one for volume and one for noise cancellation level. The easy volume and noise cancellation adjustments via the knobs as quickly become one of my favorite things about these headphones. There is a companion app, but it isnt available to utilize any of the main features of these headphones which is nice. As someone who wears glasses I was happy to discover these headphones didnt cause any discomfort during extended listening and use. I have used these as long as 8 hours in one session without discomfort. Thanks to being able to pair with two devices at once I can have these connected to my desktop and still take phone calls when they come in on my phone. That makes these amazing for work as well as the noise cancellation to help block out background distractions. The ear pads are plush and are made out of some sort of synthetic leather, hopefully they hold up for the long run. Lastly the performance of these headphones are pretty awesome overall. For a good bit less than your other high end wireless noise cancellation headphones they dont appear to have sacrificed much in terms of material quality of the headphones or performance. I have not noticed any distortion even with volume cranked to max and i'm confident you could give yourself hearing damage with extended exposure to the maximum volume of these headphones. The noise cancellation is impressive and has been a huge help for me working during some home renovations recently. The noise cancellation has 13 different levels, allowing you to fine tune it based on how aware you want to be of the surrounding environment. At maximum level some sound does still bleed through, but throw even some soft music on top in most environments and your in your own world.
