The hands-on experience is what sealed the deal for me to make this long-term investment on a new mobile workstation. The X Elite upgrade from the base model is what allows this quiet beast to stay ferocious while being sleek and handsome - I multi-task throughout the day with projects alongside YouTube Music or with 4K Movies from the Microsoft Store (No stutters, buttery smooth frame rates, and surprisingly great battery for one sitting as in I was actually comfortable and not pondering about when I need to charge after about 3 1/2 hours for my day's use of the laptop).

I love the look of this computer, it’s so sleek and it’s pretty lightweight compared to my old macbook. i haven’t used it much yet because i’m waiting for school to start, but for the basic things like browsing the web and using microsoft word it’s been great. i also like the face ID feature, never seen that in a computer so i thought its pretty neat.

I was skeptical about the processor at first but I love this computer and have not ran into any issues with apps or anything being compatible. Yeah it doesnt have an OLED screen and the battery might take a hit from that but the computer overall is worth it in my opinion.

This really is one of the best laptops out there today. I am sure you have read some doubts out there on whether the software you use will work on these Snapdragon ARM chips. Do your research, for sure, but the number of apps that work natively or under emulation is growing. The machine is fast and responsive. Battery life is great (unless you switch to best performance mode of course). The display is beautiful: I now want only a 3:2 ratio. And my favorite part is the keyboard: it's great to type on, alongside the large haptic touchpad. My only wish is that the screen did support stylii, but it's not a deal breaker as touch works well (and one can use one of those old school, cheap, find them everwhere rubber tipped pens that mimic a finger touch). I highly recommend the Surface Laptop 7.

Beautifully designed laptop with a good screen and speedy functions. The battery life is improved from standard PC laptops. However, I ended up returning it because it just couldn't do what I need. Currently there are limited apps compatible with the Snapdragon Elite processor because its so new. So you may find that programs you use regularly may not work on this laptop yet. Do some research first to see if this new style processor will work with what you need to use. The AI functions are interesting but I think they aren't fully developed yet. It will take time. This is all new technology.

This is an excellent laptop for 90% of people! It has amazing battery life, solid performance, a great screen, and fantastic build quality. This is not a gaming laptop or a desktop replacement, but it can do some light gaming. I have successfully played Civ VI, Crusader Kings 3, and some other less intense games without issue. Overall, I would highly recommend this laptop!

Everything seems great. I haven’t used much of the capability of the machine, but I was looking for a laptop that would be capable of lasting 6 or 7 years without problems. It feels well made and very portable. One bonus is that it is reparable. And the new processor offers great battery life.

I daily drive an Acer 516 GE (Chromebook Plus) and a MacBook Pro M3 Pro; as a result, I became very accustomed to stellar battery life and standby time. I can't say the same for any of my WIndows laptops, until now. Knowing that it'll be ready to go without worrying about whether or not I remembered to charge it yesterday alone is worth it.
Beyond that, I love this device's screen, keyboard, haptic touchpad, and color. The webcam is 1080p, a nice upgrade from my outgoing Surface Laptop 3's 720p. The Snapdragon CPU hasn't presented any meaningful barriers to installing or running my productivity or web development apps.
The only real disappointment is the Xbox app not allowing me to install any games. As a Game Pass Ultimate subscriber, I can still stream games. Which is fine, I guess. Microsoft explicitly blocking games from being installed is a huge bummer. Steam and GOG work just fine though.

The machine runs very smooth and can handle some pretty strong software. I was concerned about the ARM processor since the first ARM Surface I purchased turned out to make me a prisoner of the Microsoft Store. This wasnt the case here. First thing I did was download Adobe Photoshop from adobe.com and it installed and ran like a normal machine. And even then, the performance to handle fast editing and demanding tasks was impressive. Certainly a very satisfied customer.

The laptop was incredibly easy to set up. I love its design and its durability. I use this laptop for personal use and contacted work. I wish my work laptop was as nice as this one.

Still new to it but build quality feels nice. The co-pilot short-cut button is practical. Battery life seems ok- 5 to 6 hours of continuous use based on one test. Was easily available for pickup and for the best price I could find from online searches.

Great computer for every day tasks, use it for light gaming, do some web surfing and small business work.
Microsoft made a really good Apple MacBook Air competitor with this.
