An excellent laptop by Microsoft
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I absolutely love the versatility of this laptop, it's probably the best experience that I've ever had with new tech. I'm enjoying the ease of Windows 11 and everything that this laptop could do seamlessly. Microsoft creates top notch laptops and they cut no corners on the build quality of this one. The speed, sound and using the keyboard is a pleasure. Using the touch screen for drawing and design is perfect every time despite its size and portability. The price is high, but worth every penny for what you are getting in this machine. I love the outer finish, no fingerprints! So far light gaming has been incredible and watching movies looks great, the screen is very crisp. I am looking forward to playing android games when they are available in Windows 11. I suggest buying the second gen Surface pen to take full advantage of the touch screen. The battery life is good, a charge lasts all day, depending on your activity. This laptop is very powerful and runs cool. I would definitely recommend this laptop to all who want a laptop that could do it all!

Overall Good But Be Aware of Unpolished Windows 11
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The overall build quality is very nice. The 120 Hz screen is very responsive and smooth. The screen itself can become very bright if needed for outdoor use. The touch screen also works well, however, I often accidentally hit my fingers on the screen and click on something by accident when typing with the top keys of the keyboard. The screen works well with the Slim Pen 2. The keyboard itself is also high quality, though it will take some getting used to the placement of certain keys. I feel like the Stand and Studio modes are a bit gimmicky, as I don't think there are that many instances where one would make use of these modes. Regarding battery life, it seems like I'm getting 7-9 hours from watching videos, Chrome, and OneNote UWP. The USB and headphone ports fit too snuggly (?) with my accessories, and it feels like I have to almost rip them out when I want to remove them. My main gripe with using this laptop is being forced to use Windows 11, which in its current state is very buggy, and has removed a few significant quality of life features. Hopefully, Windows 11 will work better with this PC over time.

Outstanding Laptop
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am by no means a power user. I run a small counseling practice and use this laptop daily for my business. I spent a little extra on the better processor (i7), larger storage (512GB), and better video card. I have used many laptops over my career, and this one is by far the nicest laptop I have ever owned. The construction of the laptop is top notch and the screen is very nice quality. You can really feel the quality and the keyboard and mouse pad are outstanding. Love it! The only issue I have had with the device is it occasionally drops the connection to the Arc Mouse that I bought along with it. Other than that, it is a solidly built laptop that I hope will last several years. So far, I am extremely pleased with it's performance and the touch screen and pen have been extremely useful for me to use with client's when I conduct online sessions using a virtual whiteboard. This is an outstanding laptop!

Solid Performance and Feel - Hooked on
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have owned three other Microsoft Surface Pro devices in the past and loved them. I had thought I would give up on Surface devices lately, but this changed it all for me. I was holding out for the perfect Surface Book device, but none had the value for the price. When I checked this out at the store, the keyboard and trackpad feel are so solid, it seemed to improve the experience. The screen refresh is butter smooth, making this even better. Always love the option to write/take notes, and the Surface Dock 2 allows this to be easily utilized in family desk station at home. The only thing I wish it had would be either SD card slot or 2nd M.2 slot with accessible door. Also, would be nice to have at least one USB A 3.0 port.

Almost perfect
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: Amazing looking display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Keyboard and trackpad feel great and natural to use. The hardware specs are powerful enough to play most modern games at decent settings at 60 fps. I highly appreciate the thunderbolt 4 ports, docking this laptop into a 4k monitor along with all of my other prehiperals is a breeze. I also appreciate the ability to upgrade the SSD to a larger, standard sized NVME SSD. Overall build quality is excellent, this is not a cheap feeling device at all. Cons: Terrible thermal paste used from the factory, runs very hot unless the thermal paste is replaced with a higher quality paste like thermal grizzly kryonaut or equivalent. Disassembly of this device is very anti consumer when it doesn't need to be. The design clearly had a lot of thought put into it, so why go out of your way to be malicious against your own customers? Speakers suck, can't handle bass very well and constantly clip. I reinstalled the drivers and disabled all audio enhancement settings and saw no difference.

A great addition, for on the go photo/videography
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this, despite the premium, for photo/video editing and aesthetics. I came from a gaming laptop that had a 2080 GPU. I wish this laptop came out with more than 4 cores & 8 threads (for future proofing reasons); but I'm sure it is in order to open up more models in the future (that's the name of the game). Solid (like a tank) laptop and more than capable of doing what the average (whatever that means) person needs - enough to be your only device for computing on the go or as a desktop at home (with connected peripherals). 4 stars really is for not being future proof; however, I'm at the point, during this time, where aesthetics and usefulness for photography/videography are my priorities on the go - where I don't have to lug around a massive laptop. I have a 5950x CPU and 3080 suite at home. So this, with my lifestyle, compliments the powerhouse I have at home, for when I travel. -- I trust this device and it hasn't let me down. *More capabilities than limitations. I recommend this, but look around before jumping on this device.

Overall I love this laptop!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great laptop. It's super quick (Core i7 16gb ram model). Boots up in no time. The Windows hello login works great. The keyboard has just the right amount of travel. The trackpad is a great size and registers touch great. The buttons built into the trackpad could be better. The screen positions works well for me. I purchased the pen and it works really well. I've played a few games (like Death's Door and Rogue Legacy), nothing super high end but they played perfectly. I like the speakers on this device. My last laptop had weak speakers and made watching movies not great but this laptop gets loud and the sound isn't muffled. I like the power connector and I don't like it. I like the magneticness of it but I would prefer a USB power connector. Tired of having so many different power supplies. It can pop out kinda easily too. Battery life has been great as well. Overall I love this laptop!

Excellent Surface
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been nothing but pleased by this machine. It has exceeded my expectations. The inking is far superior to prior Surfaces that I have owned. The thing is whisper quiet. I can hardly ever hear it. The different display modes are very useful. It feels like a "normal" laptop unlike my old Surface Book 2. It is pretty competitive with my XPS 17 (hexacore / 1070 GPU) though it has two fewer cores. The Xe integrated graphics make it feel snappier in Windows than the older Intel integrated graphics did. I do wish it had two extra TB4 ports though. The port selection is a bummer. The trackpad is fantastic. About on par with my Macbook Pro, though it is smaller. It is fantastic on the airplane. I just pop it into tablet mode or the studio mode and the attendants allow me to keep it with me on takeoff. Fits the tray rather well. Overall, love this device. I carry it around wherever I can.

Better than the surface pro
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The surface studio is a massive jump in performance and versatility compared to the surface pro. The laptop feels much more premium and doesn't feel like it's going to give me problems like the pro does. The screen feels like butter visually with a 120hz refresh rate and physically when I'm using the pen and the hinge feels secure. The magnet on the bottom for the pen is strong and your pen won't be falling off at all. Also much better that you don't have to buy any extra accessories for it except for the pen. This version of the studio with a 3050ti also gives you some room for gaming or graphic work. Not the strongest gpu but still a good option for something on the go if you have a desktop or main setup at home.

||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great laptop! I purchased this for school. To use Auto CAD and then do some video editing as well. The graphics are so clear and crisp. Everything loads quickly. Software dev college review
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had a surface pro 7 when I started coding for college and I had to upgrade the specs for my code to start meeting time complexity of the things I write, this is without a doubt the fastest most reliable machine I've ever purchased

Excellent Product. Worth the price
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent Product, upgraded to windows 11 pro, it was super simple. Really hard to setup these things without an online account. Had to create a quick one, then create a local user admin then logged in as the local user and deleted the Online account. Pain, but thats how these W11 pc's are.

Apple —> Surface
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop is really nice. I have been an Apple customer for years now, but switched because I needed to be able to run windows software- and didn’t want the hassle of boot camp or a virtual machine. I don’t feel that any quality, speed, or functionality was lost in the switch. This is definitely the best windows machine I have ever owned- granted it has been years since I’ve purchased a windows laptop. The build quality is exceptional and feels very nice. The only thing that isn’t up to par with my previous M1 MacBook Pro is battery life, the battery last me plenty long enough to get work done away from a charger though, so it hasn’t ever been an issue. Overall, I am really impressed and satisfied with this laptop.

Nice upgrade
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nice upgrade from my last HP, I really like how fast this laptop is! Plus, it has a great set of speakers for movies, shows, or gaming online. And it's versatile with a few different positions. Glad I purchased it.

All thumbs up
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love this computer -- robust enough for photoshop and illustrator, and excellent to draw on, and super business computer too. Only issue is the charging is weak on the hub to connect it to other monitors.

Never straying away from Surface again
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had a surface book 2 and upgraded to a Asus Zephrus 15 gaming laptop. What garbage that was (wifi never stayed connected, customer survice is a joke, cheap build quality) so I came back to the surface family with the now surface laptop studio and I will say, I will never stray away again. The build quality is top notch and improved on everything the Surface Book 2 lacked in my opinion. The cooling on this is amazing, not once have the fans gone into overdrive. Im a graphic designer and programmer so I do use some processor intensive applications. The ability to lay the screen flat without having to detach the screen like the SB2 is nice. I did upgrade to the 32 gig model to future proof myself but the 16 does great as well. Surface will always be my go to in any future upgrades.

Nice from open box
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this from open box for a cheaper price and it was a great decision. It was a high end piece even the techies friends were amazed. Everything you expect from a top notched model is what it has.
