I wanted a surface pro and held out for the second generation. Glad I did. I have seen the RTs returned but not the Pros. The Pro performs well. I have a light weight carrying case that I take with me while working. It's strapped across my chest most of the day since I am on the move. I can easily grab it and within seconds make my notes, snap a pic, upload and be back on the go. I ordered additional gadgets that help; USB3 hub to give me 4 ports instead of 1, USB3 cable extender, USB3 to ethernet, as well as a mini display to a multi option of VGA, DVI, & regular display. Keep a serial cable adapter to allow for console programming. Holding out for the power cover. You can always use a little more power on any portable but you really need a keyboard for serious typing. I am pushing through but luckily it is coming in early 2014 (hopefully January). I grabbed a small BT mouse and once I have the keyboard I will be able to setup camp anywhere for power play or work. The nicest thing I can say is that it does what I really wanted it to do... Allow me to be portable and quick as well as do real desktop processor intensive work. Laptops are always a flip open of the lid and the press power button.... Not that it is hard but grab and play and put right back is nice. The pen is nice but I keep it in the pen area of my bag. Wish it could attach better but not sure how it could. No room inside and I wouldn't want it bigger just for the pen. APP Store does need to grow, but I have been able to replace most of the apps I use with Windows store versions. Even have a sync for text messages and chats from my phone streamed in. This helps me reduce the amount of items I need to have out at one time. Improvements always needed in everything but I will say the second generation is well done. Chris

This is a great machine, full PC, great processor, 8 GB of RAM and plenty of storage. It is fast. W8.1 runs smoothly on it. The only downside is the thickness and the extra weight; but I needed the memory that nobody else can provide in a tablet.

Simply thrilled with this purchase. I was very hesitant about moving from a full sized to a tablet sized laptop. Also questioned the claim that Surface Pro2 replaces a laptop. Honestly, Surface Pro2 does it all, quickly and efficiently. I love the portability, and I really don't miss an oversized screen. If I really need a big screen, I can hook up a monitor or sync with my TV. The only, and I mean only, complaint is that you have to buy the keyboard separately. For the price, it should be included in the package. Other than that, it is as close to perfect as can be!

Bought this tablet for both work and personal purposes. Travels well with easy packing and carry on. It's a distinct upgrade from my previous Surface 2. Disappointed that it didn't offer the same pre-loaded MS Office style package as part of the sale (as did the Surface 2) but overall very pleased. Much of what I do is memory intensive so the USB port was also part of why I bought this tablet. I have recommended this product to several friends so I'm not just 'clicking' here.

I looked at this item in hopes of replacing my 17" laptop with a smaller, more compact and easy to use product. So far I absolutely love it. It is fast, easy to use and light enough to carry around wherever. I got a screaming deal on this online, where it ended up costing less than a Pro 3 128GB. Even the sales guy said that this was the better deal. So I'm glad I made the right choice!

I really did not need another laptop, but I could not resist the offer to get the surface Pro 2 512 GB. Once I receive it, it was very easy to set it up and transfer all my data. while it is a bit heavier than a normal tablet, it is worth to have the extra power and capacity,

That more space and RAM makes my computer more flexible and everything smoother of a run for me with quad the space

I needed something that could run office, and pull files from network drives. Gradually moving to eliminate Desktop, and now I have a machine that can do that. Would be nice if aftermarket was a little better with cases etc., but it does not take away from a great product.l

I wanted something smaller and lighter than my work laptop, but something I could also use for personal needs. The Surface does the trick. While I rarely use it as a "tablet", the desktop functionality is wonderful. The keyboard is full-sized, and easy to use, as well.

The day that I ordered this version of the MS Surface Pro 2 from Best Buy .com, it had for that one day, the best price anywhere ever, (and I have researched the MS Surface Pro 2 for a long time }, there was free expedited delivery, and extended financing with my BB Card. Outstanding Deal. And, the device itself is just superior to any tablet out there. Couldn't be more pleased. Highly recommend the MS Surface Pro 2 and Best Buy; I have been a satisfied BB customer for many years.

Bought this to use as a tablet and a laptop. My computer is ancient and I wanted a tablet. After researching, I decided to get the Surface Pro2.

I love this tablet! It is powerful enough to replace my old computer and laptop. Would recommend!

A lighter portable computer than my other one. I've recommended it to several friends and family.

The Surface Pro 2 with the 512 gig hard drive is everything I want and need. At the office, it sits in it's docking port, and it is connected to a full size monitor, keyboard, printer, scanner, external hard drive (backup) etc. On the road, it is a portable fully functional laptop. It connects with my projector for PowerPoint presentations. When used later, it is a light weight computer, using the keyboard cover. In the evening, it becomes my fully loaded tablet, for music, movies, or any other use that a tablet can be used. The high definition screen makes reading as easy as reading from the printed page.

This little computer packs a big punch! I use it for my online banking and just about all my computer needs. The only thing I haven't used it for is to do payroll because that really requires a numerical keypad to get the job done faster. I'm very glad we purchased these (we got 2 so we didn't have to 'fight' over using them), we use them all the time!

I love the size and power of the Surface Pro 2. So happy with my purchase.

Easy to see and work with. Windows 8.1 works very well on the surface Pro.
