This is the best computer I have ever purchased considering the value of the current time. Powerful, fast, strong enough to develop on.

Perfect for travel, does everything I need and feel is a great product for me. A little pricey, but still a good value.

I knew it was a "crossover" tablet /computer when I purchased it. I got it to take to meetings etc because it is small and light and fits in my handbag. My kids love it but I am having a hard time getting used to the fact that it is more like a tablet than a computer. I'm used to downloading things from the Internet but it seems to be more compatible with aps. Ask me again in 6 months.

I was hesitant to get this because I wanted the comfort of my laptop. it turned out better than I thought. I went to my conference took notes surfed the web and did everything with ease. I am amazed that Microsoft had anything to do with this because it was user friendly

Does just about everything, but, it gets hot when doing intense stuff. Depending on what U are doing, it lasts from 2 hrs. to 3 3/4 hrs.. I really love the versatality of it!! Great color screen! Love it!! Would give it 5 stars if it didn't get hot! ( I-7 Pro3 - 512G)

I bought the surface pro to do the things my iPad couldn't, and it has blown my mind on how well they were able to make this thing a full "little" PC. I can run photoshop and play games. I hate windows 8.1, but putting stardock 8 on it makes windows 8 lock like windows 7. Thanx stardock.

Great for a working mom that is moving all the team between school and sports events. Also love to travel so perfect for someone that is always on the go. I have 2 IT jobs and it's powerful enough for me. Only con I can think is that I'm still not using the pen - might be just me. If you are not a heavy user then you can probably do without the keyboard. Even with those cons, I'm very happy with the purchase. No regrets.

Did lots of research & forum monitoring before pulling the trigger on this purchase (SP3/i7 processor/8 GB RAM/512 GB SSD). Keyboard should be included instead of a $130 option; although depending on intended use, any USB, wireless, or Bluetooth keyboard could be used instead of the "Genuine TypeCover for Surface Pro 3". It seems like Microsoft finally has all the major kinks addressed. So far it has been very stable; have had no trouble with any of the the issues reported right after release and through summer 2014. If you are on the fence; I would recommend perusing the SurfacePro3 section of surfaceforums.net to see what users are saying about their experiences, and how any issues are being handled.

This machine beats all other Windows machines and all Mac available so far. Perfect booting and shutdown speed with touch interface. Pen and keyboard interfaces makes it unique. Operating systems and processor speed cannot be beaten by any Mac. Microsoft only need to make all apps and software more touch friendly in next OS upate.

The apps are silly, they all look like they are targeting kids, not professional at all and this should be an enterprise solution. One Drive sucks, not intuitive, but you need to work with is because the memory is so small. For $2000 there is no reason to have that as a limitation. There are quirkes in the touch pad and with the screen touch that should not be there. If you drop it, it breaks, and they don't offer any good custom fit protection, case. Rediculus..

Great screen — sharp and bright, good battery life (I have not noticed the heat problem that has been noted in other reviews even after sorting/merging some medium sized database files). The larger backlit-keyboard is much better than the 'flat' one on my 'old' Surface 1. The Surface 3 Touch pad is better, but a mouse and/or a pen is a must if working on a spreadsheet or Visio diagram. Compared to one of my student's MacBook (he has since upgraded to a Surface) - the Surface 3 has a better form factor, much better screen and the versatility that better fits my work requirements.

Amazing machine. Wonderful design. Absolutely the best laptop so far and the only tablet that can completely replace a laptop. I love everything about it except the cooling system which can be improved a little bit more. It's easy to get over-heated on the right side of the screen, where the battery is placed. CPU temperature is high. I need an external fan, not a leather case to make the tablet warmer. I try keep the temperature low to protect my lovely Surface Pro.

The Surface Pro 3 is great for school and work. I use it mostly for school so I need to use Eclipe and Mathematica. It also works great for Office, Netflix and Facebook.

The only model I have used is the i7 model so will not speak for the others. This machine is plenty fast enough to replace your desktop machine. A real nice piece of hardware.

One of the better Windows 8 tablets. Light, not bulky. Touch keyboard cover is a must. Have some issues with the dock and Dell Monitors that they will hopefully fix soon.
