Bought this tablet when just looking for a tablet but what you get is so much more. You can basically take it anywhere, attach a keyboard and even play Xbox on it. It's great for anyone whose looking to have less bulk to carry around. Mine fits in my medium size purse and I take it with me most places. Love the speed, the screen size is amazing and so are the graphics, and love that it can go from a tablet screen to a computer screen in one click.

I was somewhat unsure about buying the Surface Pro3 as the rating were mixed and it cost more than most similar tablets. After owning it for a month or so, and traveling for business, I have come to truly like it. It's fast lightweight and very familiar. My only complaint is that Office is an additional cost. I believe it should have been included even if it was added to the cost.

This is a great laptop. It's pretty remarkable what Microsoft has accomplished In creating such a slim device that functions as a full PC. For my needs I went with the i3 processor, but it is plenty fast. Anyone looking to run more intensive programs should probably opt for the i5 or i7.

Got the Surface Pro3 unit as a portable work tool and it does the job very well. I am not a big fan of Windows 8, but I broke down and got the Surface because I was tired of hauling around my larger laptop with Windows 7 (which I do like). Given my reservations with the Win8 op system, I would have to say I am still glad I did so. The quality is good and it works just fine.

The Surface has been refined to compete with high end machines form Apple. This is a well designed tablet / laptop form Microsoft. Good performance, great screen, light, capable and reliable. Not a great value at full price due to the specs so get it on sale. You may want to go with the step-up version (Intel i5 / 128 gb hard drive) but this meets most computing and entertainment needs and it has the sd card slot to increase storage capacity. It's biggest drawback is the operating system so upgrading to Windows 10 is recommended. Hopefully it will be free!

I was really debating on whether to purchase a used surface pro 2 or to get the cheapest SP3. I primarily wanted something to use for school. My previous device was the Asus T100 32gb, which could get 11 hours on battery. This Surface Pro 3 does not match the battery life that I'm used to however the extra features easily make up for it. The i3 processor and Ssd easily trumps any Baytrail CPU win8.1 tablet out there and is not far off from the i5 in the surface pro 2 and 3. I first thought that the 64 GB was a little small but I lived with a 32gb device before so managing storage wasn't a big deal. Those things aside, the new features such as the improved kickstand and the larger screen are what made me choose this over a used SP2. I hated the 16:9 screen on my Asus tablet so I can see myself being frustrated with the Sp2 screen, not to mention I often set the kickstand on my sp3 at the lowest position so I could draw on it. The only con I can see is that I think the new digitizer for the stylus (nTrig) is a bit finicky, software wise. I'm used to my wagon intuos 5 at home and how it seamlessly integrates with all my creative programs. The sp3 requires some tweaking to use my programs (paint tool Sai, etc.) otherwise I don't really notice the difference between the Wacom and the sp3 inking. I'm using it without any type cover and so far it's not too bad but you kind of need it if you want to be productive. Summary: Pro's - screen, kickstand, form factor Cons - pen, no type cover included or discounted in the price, battery life is ehhhh

I see the surface pro as another tech breakthrough. Screen size large enough to use for computer work. You have direct access to all Microsoft applications, lightweight keyboard can be easily detached and the device turns into a great tablet. When you travel, this is a must have. This may change terminology, just as desktop evolved into laptop, laptop has evolved into "handtop".

This certainly beats the heck out of the boat anchor I used to carry around when visiting clients. As an IT consultant I needed a device that not only could run the applications I needed it to run but also looked nice and was easy to carry around. As a OneNote junkie, being able to bring this into a conference room to write on has been a pleasant experience. I chose the i3 model because its really all I needed and I got a high quality 64GB microSD card for it. Microsoft knocked it out of the park, I guess the third time is a charm. With Windows 10 on the horizon, it only makes the investment into one of these devices so much better. Sure, the keyboard is separate but its certainly worth the price of admission. The Surface Pro 3 is a tablet for adults who get things done. It makes all those lesser tablets look like children's toys.

    ONE WORD: AMAZING!!!

My dream was: Being able to take notes the whole day with a stylus that would give me the same experience than writing with a good pen, being able to take notes in OneNote on one half of the screen while reading a pdf on the other half, being able to work on all my past powerpoint, excel, word files without any issue... My dream came true with the Surface Pro 3. Not only this tablet granted all my wishes, it went beyond. The 3 control buttons on the stylus are magical. The connectivity, the cover keyboard that lights up in the dark... I could go on for a while. Just go to bestbuy and try the different options. For me, I hesitated a long time between the Surface and the Samsung Note 10.1 that has a similar (but inferior because of the lack of action buttons) stylus and I don't regret my choice at all. Go test it for yourself!

I have had my computer for a few months now and everything has been great! Except just two things. 1. Sometimes when I am trying to use it on my lap or in bed when I am on Skype, it is difficult to get it in the right position. Since it has only a kick stand and not a spring, there is a range of positions which you will most likely need and wont be able to make. Also, sometimes it freezes on me (maybe once a week or once every two weeks) and I need to turn it off and on and it's good after that. I have never lost any work over it, so it's not that bad :) Everything else about the computer has been amazing. I feel so lucky to have a full lap top and a tablet in one. Especially because it has a USB port (has been super useful for my camera, chargers, printers etc.!!) and when I go through the airport, I don't have to take it out of my bag! It is so nice to travel with. It fits in my brief case right between my books. I am so happy I made this purchase and hope it lasts for a very long time!

The Surface Pro is great for so many things. I primarily use it to run my business. I love the fact that I can easily remove the keyboard and use it as a tablet. The Surface Pen is a great feature. So far I've used it with One Note and the Paint Program. I also love the App features and that it hardly weighs anything, making it easy to take with me on the go!

I am very happy with the Surface Pro 3 I purchased from Best Buy. This tablet is extremely versatile and can easily function for personal or business use. I love that you can detach the keyboard and just use it as a touch screen. I am still learning all the tricks to navigate the various programs, but I am overall completely satisfied with this product.

This is a sleek, sexy computer! Super thin and lightweight. So easy to set up and use. You can easily repace your laptop with this, just like the commercial says! It has an optional keyboard, but there's really no need for it. Trust me on this, you really want the Surface Pro 3!!

What can I say? I bought this system as an experiment for my job. It has worked so well that my company has made a corporate level decision to go with the Surface Pro 3 for ALL of their field service technicians. It runs every piece of software made for IBM PCs that we need to do our jobs. The ability to write directly into Excel is extraordinarily convenient and is a real time saver when on the job. The only drawback at this point is the scarcity of ruggedized accessories. So far, Incipio is the only one I have found. The next logical step should be a ruggedized type cover. None of the aforementioned is anything that should stop you from making this purchase, however. The battery life is impressive. I have gotten a full 6 hours out of it while streaming Netflix. I had an iPad previous to this and got nowhere near the functionality from it. Don't hesitate. Get this Now!

Pro- I like that it can do anything my laptop can. lightweight, great size, full feature with USB port. Con - it froze up only two weeks after purchase. Doesn't always keep correct time and date. Doesn't always recognize the stylus when surfing the net. Geek Squad has always been able to fix the problem, but disappointed that they happen in the first place. On the whole, pleased with it.

I love the Surface Pro 3. Was easy to setup. Good screen resolution and quick response. Only thing I would change is adding a second USB port. Will be a great travel computer with the bonus of a tablet. Optional keyboard a must for me.

I absolutely love my Surface Pro 3! It is the best of both worlds by all means! There are few bugs in it still as with anything, but for the most part it functions great! Its like having a PC and a tablet both at your hands at all times. It processes efficiently like a PC should and you can use removable drives, USB and external hard drives with ease, you can print wirelessly without any effort at all, you can use any USB devices that you would use on a PC. At the same time you have the tablet with touch screen and the Bluetooth features, with the processing speed of a PC. I think this is the greatest system on the market by far at the moment! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it!!!
