I've always love the Surface form factor. The Pro 7+ strike a great balance between tablet and laptop while maintaining a great port selection. Having a USB-A on such a small device is amazing. I love being able to charge via USB-C and having an easily upgradable SSD is a big plus. The Typing experience on the keyboard is super tactile, especially for such a thin device, I have this dual-booting Chrome OS with the Play Store and it make for an amazing experience.

Very good laptop/tablet. It's very easy to use and even easier to set-up. I'd say it was one of the best laptops I've ever bought. Now, however, I would also add that it is annoying trying to find a spot on the lap to rest it that doesn't dig into your skin above the knees, but it's also not a normal laptop.

A very handy and compact windows powered tablet PC. Compact and handy to carry to any classes and runs most of the software a typical windows PC can. A very capable device for a student or a professional. The tablet and the type cover combo was a great deal in my opinion.

I'm happy with it, it runs a little slow but I'm an intense multi-tasker. It can NOT handle more than VERY casual games that aren't graphics heavy, however streaming movies and tv shows are BEAUTIFUL! It does run warm pretty quickly, and the battery life hasn't been very good, but again that's because I'm an intense multi-tasker, when I'm only doing work or class (web pages, teams etc) the battery life is much better. Oh and it's much heavier than I expected! Standby time is great, love the type cover (connects magnetically), took me an embarrassingly long time to figure out the stand. Overall I'm happy with the purchase, it was on sale for just under $700, still a bit more pricey than I think it's worth but I needed a windows OS for portable quick working. The charger is magnetic which is great, 1 regular usb, 1 usb-c port. Would love to try out the surface pen but they are currently $100+

    Surface Pro 7+ with Windows 11 - What A Pleasant S

Very surprised how well the 7+ performed relative to speed and battery performance, not to mention the very nice Display. Equipped with an 11 gen core i5 chip, its a bit of a dynamo. Windows 11 has not been a disappointment and will only get better as performance updates continue. For the value ($799 with Type Cover bundle), this is a nice deal. Easy on the mobility side (tops 2-1/2 lbs including the Type Cover). Additionally, I like the fact that I can upgrade the hard drive at minimum cost (see Amazon’s Toshiba SSD options; a number of economical cloning drive options). Was a little concerned about the 8GB RAM spec, but my usage is limited to Microsoft Office usage, video watching, iphone management needs via iTunes, some minimal audio and video editing, access to old CDs, DVDs, etc., serves me just perfect!! Highly recommend Surface Pro 7+ as an economical option to Surface Pro 8 and the new Surface Pro X. Also note the larger battery vs Surface Pro 7. In fact, practically the same size battery as the Surface Pro 8

My surface pro is light weight and easy to storage in my backpack. Turns on super fast. Battery last for most of the day if I’m on it none stop. Touch screen is easy to touch and clear and big enough to see. I have no complaints over here.

Microsoft should have a recall program for this Surface laptop. It constantly crashes, it has happened twice during a zoom meeting. Not reliable for working. I will have to ask for a replacement.

A fantastic Surface and a great Windows 11 tablet. The Surface Pro 7+ has the latest 11th Gen Intel chips and removable SSD just like the far more expensive Surface Pro 8 but is better in some ways. SP7+ includes both USB-C and USB-A ports, has magnetic pen attachment on the side of the device, uses the traditional magnesium case, and is compatible with years of existing Surface peripherals. There could be an argument that for some people the SP7+ is a better choice than SP8 even if the price was the same and SP7+ is often on sale for much less making it a great value. SP7+ with i5 is also fanless and totally silent. It is capable of running office (and Office) apps with ease, and the value of the Surface and Keyboard cover bundle is hard to beat. Battery life is good (not great), the screen is fantastic (even if the bezels are a bit large), and the device is solid as a rock. Speakers are surprisingly pleasant sounding and loud for such a small device, Windows Hello face recognition is lightning fast, and the webcam is much better than 90% of laptops out there.

    Best Surface and Windows Device

    Posted .

Love this device, the USB-C port which you can use with any adapters allows for a lot of versatility and the performance of this device is outstanding the new Intel Wi-Fi 6 chip works great without any speed performance problems like the previous Surface Pro 6. This device has a removable SSD on the back under the kickstand which is great, you can upgrade the SSD in the future all you need is a sim ejector tool and a t4 screwdriver to remove the SSD the drive is an m.2 2230. Overall, I would definitely recommend this device for students to anyone who likes to take digital notes or who needs a portable device for on the go use.

My daughter uses this for school. Great value and she also likes to game on it with Ginshen Impact and Minecraft. So much faster than her last laptop, but also portable. She loves the keyboard and the pen, so those are great items to add on.

Just a Surface Pro 7 but with swappable SSD and the 11th gen Intel processor. It the best of having a tablet but also having a full Windows environment. Keyboard and trackpad is better than I thought it would be for the size with nice tacticle feedback on the keys. Screen and speakers are also fantastic. I'm rather picky and I don't mind using this to watch a show or two on the couch. So far the battery life has been excellent. The i5 is passively cooled which I enjoy but I wouldn't game too heavily on it. Although it does seem to punch above its weight in that regard for basically being a tablet.

I can't say enough good things about the Surface Pro 7+. I'm glad I waited so long to actually jump into buying one of these. I needed an ultra-portable tablet/device that still allowed me to do everything that I can do on my home PC, without losing any productivity while I am away from home. It took little to no time to set up and begin using. Thanks to Chrome for having profiles that share bookmarks and passwords across multiple devices and Microsoft OneDrive for giving me the ability so access files across the devices as well. The keyboard is very smooth and feels fantastic to use. I can open this up and the Windows Hello unlocks the tablet extremely quickly, without the need of typing any password. I can do my work quickly, close it, and stow it away until I need to use it again. The built in LTE is useful while on the go as well. Haven't used the expandable storage, but having the option for the future is tremendous. Battery life varies, as it gives you options for optimal performance, or longer battery. I personally prefer to have optimal performance, thus giving me about 10-11 hours of realistic battery life. I used the battery saver mode and I got significantly more, but I do not need that much battery, as I am only on the device for 20-30 minutes at a time, in short bursts. 10/10 product, will be purchasing another one for my fiancee to use for her productivity on the go as well.

I am so happy with this purchase!! I traded in a laptop I bought a month before on Black Friday and I still do not regret it! It isn’t cheap, but you get what you ask for! l love the duality of the clip off screen and the type cover, and I also bought the pen as well which I 100% recommend (works so well!!) SUPER lightweight and perfect speed. Only wish it had a tad more storage. I will recommend this over ANY overpriced apple product any day! Perfect mix of an ipad and mac!

It’s okay. It does the job with good enough speeds. There was an issue with the display when I first used it where it was blurry and apparently a known thing to occur. A simple Google search helped resolve that but for an $800 device, it shouldn’t happen within the first month. The battery is great if you’re not streaming or in a Zoom meeting. I used it for a python software project that involved running a mp4 file and did NOT perform well. Granted the project required a stronger GPU. But for normal coding projects, it should work fine. I don’t know how durable it actually is. Only way to know would be to drop it. But the back and sides are wrapped in metal/aluminum with a glass touchscreen. The only thing that I really don’t like is that I can’t rest it on my lap. The metal hinge that holds the device upright eventually becomes painful as it digs into your lap since it’s edge is fairly sharp. I know it’s tablet more so than a laptop but they could’ve designed it better.

    Good portable computer

For the price, it is a very good portable machine that allows having a tablet and a laptop in one compact package. Pros: The screen is very good. You won't find a display of such quality in any other Windows laptop under $1000, let alone for $699. It is also light and relatively comfortable to hold even with one hand. The keyboard is surprisingly good for an attached keyboard, with good travel and comfortable typing. 11th gen Core i5 in paired with 8Gb of RAM makes all basic operations fluid and doesn't annoy with freezes or stuttering. There is no fan, which might be positive for one and negative for another. It definitely throttles when under heavy load and gets noticeably hotter. So no, it is not a powerhouse. But being fanless means it is completely silent. Cons: The traditional laptop is going to provide a better "laptop" experience though, especially when used on the lap. The configuration of the tablet with a stand + attachable keyboard doesn't make a stable combo on the lap. And for a tablet, Windows provides an experience inferior to Android and iPad OS. it doesn't feel as snappy as tablet OSs. I was hoping to use it for note-taking, and I heard a lot of good things about using Surface for One Note. But I was disappointed with the pen performance, specifically with its very noticeable lag. In the end, I decided to return and go with a laptop and a tablet. I still liked the Surface a lot, the device itself. It is just you really have to get used to the device and change your habits and accept the not-ideal laptop/tablet experience for getting a convenience of 2-in-1
