Great device for my business & personal needs, both at the office, at home or while traveling. USB-C port access for external monitors, charging, and data sharing is a welcomed item. Battery life is decent for what the device is and what it does. It's a great balance device for productivity and play (streaming movies, tv shows, etc.).

I am 60 so i have been using computers since 1981 when they were the size of your desk. This one is by far the best computer that I have used. I have had this for over a month and I do not have one single complaint. I have asked that my office computer be upgraded to a surface PRO. I would and have told everyone I know to buy one.

I started school to get my Nursing degree this Past January, so far my Surface pro hasn't disappointed. Coupled with the microsoft dock and 2 screens I've been able do everything I needed plus some. I've got the highest grade in all of my professors statistics classes(over 100 students) and I contribute that partly to my setup with my surface pro.

I've only had this laptop for few weeks. I've been using it excessively for a postgraduate program. I haven't used the pen much, but I have had many classes via zoom, as well having used the Microsoft products, text to speech software, and casual use. The speed and performance of this device as well as the memory, is exactly what I was looking for for my new program!

Micosoft SP does come at a higher price than other laptops, but you get what you paid for. It's still a favorite among my graphic designers and I don't mind paying a little more. All of our team work remotely and this portable device gets the job done. What I don't like is that you have to order the keyboard and stylus separately.

I do digital art and design professionally, and was looking for something lightweight yet powerful for working on projects while on the go. On pen and paper, the Surface Pro 7 checked all the boxes for what I needed, and so I made the plunge and bought one. After about a month, I'm pretty disappointed with the shoddy quality of what's an almost $1,500 machine. First and foremost are the issues with the touch input. While it advertises 10-point touch input, you'll be luck if you can get it to register just two fingers to pinch and zoom on a webpage. The touchscreen's sluggish responses to input and constant ignoring of gestures can make the Surface unusable without a type cover or an attached mouse/keyboard at times. At first I thought I'd received a defective unit, but no. After a few minutes of searching for help on Microsoft's support forums, I came to find these issues with multi-touch and input lag are a long-standing and widely reported firmware problem with the Surfaces- which is to this day unresolved by Microsoft. As someone who bought the Surface for the express purpose of the touch capability, this was (and still is) a huge let down. Next comes the battery life. If you're just running a couple tabs in Chrome and any moderate-weight software in tandem on the battery, you'll be lucky to get even 4 hours out of the Surface Pro 7. The given estimates for battery life in the ads and on the product details are pretty misleading. The 8-9 hour estimate must be assuming you'll only ever be using an offline word processor with the screen brightness dropped to the lowest setting. So basically, if you're headed to a coffee shop to do some work for a few hours, you'd better be bringing that charger along. Which brings up my final glaring issue... The charger supplied with the SP7 is great... for however long it lasts you. After about two weeks, my brick started to make a loud, audible buzzing. Much louder than the normal ambient sound of electronics. MS support tried to tell me this was normal, despite the fact it was silent when used right out of the box. Since then, I've been using a spare generic USB-C charger I have instead, but I just happened to be fortunate that I had an alternative on hand. Sadly, many will likely end up having to shell out the extra money to replace something essential for the computer, one that should've just been built with some modicum of quality control to begin with. All things considered, I cannot recommend the SP7 in general and ESPECIALLY not for professional artists/designers who need a reliable work machine for their projects. What I paid doesn't nearly line up with what I received, which is a shame; I wanted to like my SP7 and get stuff done with it. I expected better than a charger-bound tablet pc that can't even properly register touch input.

Replacing an old Surface Pro and didn't want to have to replace all the accessories too. This one let me get more disk storage and Processor speed versus Pro 8 or X for the money, while also saving on keyboard case etc. Only thing is the battery has not lasted as long as advertised.

I bought this to replace my 5th gen surface i5. Although the processor is much faster (10 gen i7) battery life with streaming and surfing is slightly over an hour. So I kept my old surface for those times when battery power is more important than processor performance.

If you have a child heading off to college or even for high school, this is an excellent computer. It is lightweight, durable, and fits easily in a backpack. I am never questioning the decision to buy one of these as the value is tremendous and the hardware is second to none.

SO, to be frank I am upgrading from a Surface Pro 3, which is tech terms is a dinosaur. But, this device has been a delight. Inking is soo much better, whether I am doing adult coloring or doing work for my class. Recording video lectures has been flawless, and it is nice and portable and just easy. Plus I love the face unlock.
