Extremely lightweight and slim while still offering a great trackpad, great keyboard for a tablet, and pen storage and charging! I got an open box option for almost half the price of new, however had that not been available, full price would have been worth it just for the convenience of a laptop with the form factor of a tablet. The keyboard will only work with the surface pro 8 or newer, and the pro X lines, as they changed where the data and power connectors are on the magnetic interface.

The keyboard is responsive. I also appreciate that it is backlit, so if you're working in limited light, you can still work without interruption. There's good feeling to the response of the keys. It's not mechanical, which is the type of key's I'm accustomed to using on a daily basis. The Pen is a bit of a mixed bag. I find it a bit awkward to hold due to it being flat versus the natural styling of a pen. It's also very responsive and accurate. I'm a terrible writer but the handwriting recognition has come a ways since the last time i used a Windows based tablet that used a pen. I like that the pen sits in a spot inside the cover so it's tucked away when you're not needing to use it. The Alcantara is a nice touch as well and gives a feel of quality to the keyboard.

Great product and the magnet really works. I had a bamboo pen which works ok but this slim pen makes a major difference on the Surface. However sometimes there is a lag in the pen paring. I am not sure if it's because I switch between the two pens. The keyboard works perfectly and I love how that expensive pen stays in place. I lost my first one and as you know it costs more than $100 - but does this combo have to be so expensive? All together between the device and the accessories it is more than a MacBook Air and some other models. I'm not sure the touch screen gives enough pull to choose this over other options. But now I have both and enjoy taking notes on the Pro

I absolutely LOVE the refinement Microsoft has done to the new Surface keyboard and pen! The keyboard itself is mostly the same as previous generations. It attaches to the Surface via magnets, can lay flat, or angled via magnetic attachment. The keys have a soft feel and are very pleasant to type on. The size feels that of a full sized desktop keyboard. The alcantara fabric is always such a pleasure to wrest palms on. It does not require batteries as it gets power from the Surface it is attached to. The keyboard can illuminate in the dark too for easier typing in low light situations. The real innovation here is the changes made to the pen. The pen is now much flatter and fits into a new "cubby" at the top of the keyboard. It attaches magnetically and sits flush with the keyboard so it can be stored here when the keyboard is closed or angled up against the Surface screen. The pen charges when connects to it's cubby. Clicking on the top of the pen can be set to open Whiteboard, OneNote, or really any app of your choosing. The pen pairs to the Surface simply by being in it's cubby and they keyboard attached to the surface, I had to do no setup otherwise. The response I got when writing on the display felt very natural. The pen was easy to hold and if I sat it on the desk, it would not roll away. It was light and had a subtle grippy feel to it. Much of the response was due to the Surface itself, not the pen, but the overall experience was exceptional making this a must have accessory for the Surface X or Surface Pro 8.

Bought the same day i bought the surface pro. It works great for everyday use and it doubles as a screen protector when not in use. Very light and responsive.

This keyboard and pen combo is a must for the surface pro. The pen is super intuitive on where you are pointing it on the screen, and it is also really great for programs like Adobe Photoshop. The keyboard is foldable and the built in pen charger is so useful. Just wish it was a bit cheaper, however sometimes there are sales to get these for a discount.

Although not perfect, I think that it is a good bet to use this with the surface pro 9 (as intended by Microsoft) rather than one from someone else that may not work well. The pen works great and the keyboard feels nice and does it's job. Only con would be the price but I got it on sale and the bundle is cheaper than buying these things separate.

I purchased this to go with my surface pro 9 and this is a perfect pair to it. The keyboard response works like it any other laptop keyboard. I like I can fold it to give me a bit of extra elevation. I like that it comes with the pen too. The pen works great too. No delays on it or anything. I would recommend both of these if you need a keyboard and/or pen.

This item is a must-have if you are purchasing a Surface Pro. I don't always use the keyboard but it's the best protection for the screen when not in use. It's uncommon that I don't need the keyboard but it's easy enough to use if not needed.

Nice addition to my Surface Pro 8, however it does occasionally freeze for a few seconds. Overall, good keyboard but it is a bit pricey.

This pen and keyboard combo is insanely perfect. I was skeptical of getting a surface, but wanted one to roam while teaching. The precision of the writing is eerily accurate. This particular upgrade, I have found really gives me the true ability to use the surface as laptop and tablet. I love having the pen charging in the laptop without having to worry about it.

The keyboard works great with the Surface Pro 9. It’s easy to use and very accessible. It also has a designated slot for the pen so that it doesn’t get lost. Another feature I like is how the pen charges in the keyboard so there’s no need to worry about if your pen is going to die, etc.

Love this keyboard for my surface Pro 9. Holds the Slim Pen inside the keyboard. The keys are firm. Feels no different than and attached keyboard to most other laptops. Not flimsy at all!

Works great. The keyboard is a must have for the surface. 80 percent of the time you can get along fine without it, but when you are seriously doing work, there are times you just need the trackpad and keyboard. The pen is great. It feels good in the hand and adds tons of functionality. You can even use it as a presentation clicker.

The keyboard works really good. I love that it is so lightweight and easy to attach and detach. The pen also works super great and is easy to use. Only thing that’s keeping it from a five star is that there’s no option to keep the keyboard lights lit while using. They dim off after about ten seconds or so.

A must have accessory for your Surface Pro. The keyboard has a great feel to type on and a responsive and smooth trackpad with gesture support. The pen also works great and charges wirelessly in its cradle and allows the keyboard to cover the screen while traveling. Pick a color and enjoy!
