Great Console... but there are better
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let me start off by saying that I wanted to love this console. I tend to play more Xbox than Playstation and I normally have Playstation because its what my friends use to play online. The graphics are great, and the load times are next level, and the new features (auto resume, smart delivery, etc.). Also I feel like the SSD expansion port is somewhere that Sony missed out, even if the expansion cards are pricey. All that being said I feel like the controller is where Xbox REALLY missed out. The improvements that were made are really nice, however they are no where near as "next level" as what is in the PS5.

||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.awesome!! i had to buy a new xbox because no where could fix my xbox one x, and so far everything has been awesome with this xbox! except really the price. i basically had to use half my savings to get it if i win this gift card it’ll most likely go towards things i need for it because it didn’t come with much like my last one. only one controller instead of 2 . i probably won’t win but i hope who does needs it.

Refreshing coming from PS5
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Need a break from PlayStation? I love my PS5, but Xbox still has things you can't get elsewhere. The ability to use a blue light filter, and even adjust the brightness/strength on a timer, is great for night time gaming. The controller is sadly way below the basic Dualsense... I had to get the $100 Elite controller to match its quality.

Series X- honest review 7 months use
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you have not got a Mybestbuycard you should look into it it's worth the value. you can get this item and many more things on promotional financing. after owning this for over 6months i can tell you it's very reliable and a step up from previous versions. The controller feels better however feels like already needs to be replaced that has not changed much.

Fast and silent
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really like my new xbox. I had xbos one series S and this one looms faster. However the upgrade does not worth it excpet for the disc. 1 TB is good space. Control still uses batteries. Very bad.

Why take less when you can have the Best!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you can handle the wait (because it's harder to get than the Series S) it is WORTH IT! The better framerate and constant 4k is beautiful, especially on games made for it (like Forza Horizon 4). The only issue I've had is the controller disconnecting maybe 3 times in the month I've had it, though it has reconnected almost immediately. Don't get me started on how much quick-start can change your entire gaming experience.

Glad it was available!
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Hard thing to come by, aways was out of stock. Awesome gaming system. I like that I can add parental features for the kids, too! Rated the controller a (4) star since it is not chargeable, batteries are required.

Xbox series x
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love the xbox so far, had the series s 512gb just isn't enough storage. The xbox series x controller feels on the cheaper end and the b button feels crunchy will be seeking a controller exchange. I have the ps5 also but the series x is way more snappy and loading and download speeds by far pass my ps5.

An absolute powerhouse and a whole new console exp
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really hesitated this purchase. I kicked around the idea of the upgrade for quite some time. I notice my local store had some in stock and almost pulled the plug but ultimately ended up holding off once again. Of course, they sold out quickly and again I had missed my chance. Fast forward a week or so, the opportunity presented itself once again. This time I pulled the trigger and purchased my Xbox series x. Even after the purchase I continued to tell myself the Xbox one x was a powerful unit and this upgrade was unnecessary. I soon learned how wrong us was. The Xbox series x is absolute powerhouse and a whole new console experience. Starting from the unboxing I must say I was very underwhelmed. The packaging was dull and did not provide the unboxing excitement that day and Apple product would posses. Upon hooking up the console and powering it up I immediately noticed improved graphics and speed. I fired up Elden Ring and was amazed by the night and day difference from the x1x to the xsx. Gameplay was incredibly swift , clean and smooth,, loud times are Non existent, graphics are flawless and movements are crisp. I’ve since played a few other games and have been impressed with the noticeable difference. Gaming on the x1x now seems clunky and slow. With the size of newer games maps this really is a must. The only real downfall is that the new control still is sent out with one time use battery’s. Amazon has many rechargeable batteries to solve that problem so it really is minuscule. The slight modifications to the controller made a work of art even better. If you have an opportunity to get your hands on this machine do not hesitate as you won’t regret it.

Series X Review
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: -Whisper Quiet -Powerful - the most powerful this generation. Expect 4k @ 60fps to be the average with ray-tracing. Games that are also on PS5 will play/look better on Xbox Series X. -Plays Xbox, 360, Xbox One, and Series X games -Plays 4K blu-rays -Dolby Vision HDR support -Great Controller -Performance is on par with high-mid tier PC that would easily cost over $1000 -Build quality is very solid Cons: -Controller isn't AS great as PS5's -Launch lineup is weak for now, but MS has invested HEAVILY in studios over the last few years so many many many AAA games are on the way. -May not feel like a massive change as UI is the same as Xbox One's.

It’s okay, but prefer PS5.
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s okay, looks nice and has good performance and all. But the amount of games are lacking tbh. I also hate the controller. The buttons feel very cheap, esp the ab/xy ones compared to a PS5 controller. And it having a rechargeable battery is a huge bummer. Using AA batteries in a controller for a $500 console seems cheap. Love the console design though. It s fan of the UI, however. Not enough Xbox exclusives to really make it worth my time, personally. Bought in May 2024 and used it only in December when Indiana jones came out.

Xbox series x
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I would buy a ps5 instead lol. Got it for a good price, i think you get more in the ps5 than this console. Controllers aren't rechargable and feel cheaper. Having to purchase xbox live/game pass for certain game features. When i was able to play online fifa/madden for free on ps5. It also feels that video games take alot longer to download on this opposed to the ps5. Other than that, it works good. Performance wise it goes toe to toe with the ps5. If your an xbox fan & like all the exclusives you won't regret it. Definately an upgrade if you still have ps4/xbox one/series s .

And the winner is
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Perfection. New design, ultra fast UI! I'm mad I never considered an SSD for my Xbox one x. But yeah I own Ps5 and this and hands down, in a side by side comparison on a 65" True 4k 120hz tv, Shadows are perfectly detailed, but only slightly less on Ps5.. Audio processor is similar... Load times are slightly faster on Ps5, and truthfully the Ps5 control is more comfortable. But for performance. One example. Cyberpunk 2077 .. crashed 8 times in one hour on Ps5, didn't crash once on Xbox. Also no frames lost on Xbox. Before you judge the xbox PUT IT ON HARDWARE IT WAS BUILT FOR. 4K 120, with N 8k HDMI w/Ethernet!

Next Gen Baby
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love my series X, but it does have its good and bad stuff. The dashboard has been an atrocity since the last generation and is being worked on as of this review. They did not implement new technology into the controller like the PlayStation has which is a real bummer because I feel the controller makes a huge difference. Now to the good stuff. The new controller does feel amazing in the hand. Microsoft continues to make the best controller in the hand - hands down, (no pun intended) lol. I love the design of the Xbox as it’s super easy to have displayed and doesn’t get in way. What I love the most about the Xbox is, GAME PASS! Game Pass has saved me so much money I can’t believe I’ve got the pleasure to play so many great games. Xbox also launches all of its exclusives day one on Game Pass so you always have something to try out when they release a game. They also switch out games and refresh the library monthly which is a plus. Overall I would recommend this console!

Totally worth the investment
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best Xbox I have ever owned . Always wondered just how much better it could be than the Xbox one and I feel like an idiot now . It’s a whole other level . I do a lot of sim racing and this system can meet the demands of those games no problem. Stock controllers are never my favorite so it gets 4 stars

Great gaming console for any gamer!
|Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This a console that transcends the previous. I mean, it is insane. For the price you can run almost everything at 4k 120fps (of course limited to a few titles that don't have those capabilities or monitors/TVs that aren't able to display that). It's completely silent compared to Xbox One S. It runs amazing and doesn't have many draw backs. The only thing that is worthy of complaint is the fact that it doesn't have much storage. 1tb is really closer to about 800 gigs. But, I bought the 2tb memory card, and that gave me a lot of space for games. I would recommend for anyone who wants to start playing games for a cheaper price than most gaming computers that are equal to its performance (of course, if you're planning to play mostly cross-platform fps games or Xbox exclusives). The one thing I would recommend besides the console is to grab an after market controller that has hall effect sticks so you don't get drift. Other than that, if you take care of your controller, it'll last a couple years.

Next gen has begun.
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Can’t wait till developers tap into the power of this beast. Going back and playing previous games from my one x and it’s a significant improvement especially with games that have been optimized for the series x. Borderlands 3 for instance is like playing a completely new game at 60 FPS. Only down side is the storage only being able to hold about 600 gigs internally and considering once they start balling out with technology games will be well over 100 gigs. Also wish it came with the elite 2 controller cause we know dang well that thing should not cost a third of the actual system. All in all though, I am very satisfied so far

The new generation in console gaming
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When available, both the series s and x offer a fantastic gaming experience. If you're an xbox veteran, you'll already be familiar with the layout of the user interface. Gamepass ultimate is also a no brainer for either console; especially the s since it's digital. It's been a long time since the quality of panel (tv/monitor) played a pivotal role in the gaming experience. This console really benefits from a true HDMI 2.1 source to unlock 4k/120FPS in games that support it. But in reality, even having 4K/60FPS in a console as compact and efficient as this is amazing on it's own. It's not as future proof as current PC (at time of release even) components, but we're also seeing components being stretched longer and longer for longevity, so having one of these will hold in my opinion, as long as the previous generation. I do hate that the storage expansion is proprietary for Series S/X enhanced games, and THE CONTROLLER STILL USE AA BATTERIES IN THE YEAR 2021/2022 but there are options for those at least. Find a discount SSD for your One X/360/OG Xbox games and let the main console storage work for Series X games whenever possible. For those not in the know, the components are AMD based. I believe zen 2 and rdna 2 graphics. Again, not as strong as their independent parts, but solid performance and consistent frames is what these are for, and they're darn good at it. Are these expensive? Yeah. But It beats trying to build a comparable PC at 2-3x the cost. If you can get the all access bundle, it's worth the credit application. If you can get a standalone and use bestbuy credit, also worth it. IF your only option is buying a bloated bundle, hopefully they include games you wanted to play. And finally, if it's a ps5/series x conversation, it's really a toss up for me. I'm fortunate to own both. What you're paying for, is user interface, size, and exclusives. Gamepass is a solid win for xbox. Sony's console is large, awkward (but I dig it) and the interface, while similar to ps4, does take a bit getting used to. The PS5 controller feels better in my hands and they're USB-C rechargeable controllers. If I had to choose one, it would be whichever has exclusive games (and if I have a back logged library) that interest me. If you're a gamer who plays any multi console release, either console when available will suffice. If you're an exclusives person, then you probably already know.
